Services
A typical adult eye exam lasts around 30 minutes. We prioritise patient comfort and care, so examinations are conducted in a spacious, air-conditioned consulting room offering complete privacy. Our highly trained optometrist team use a series of different tests and examinations tailor made to the individual's problems and visual requirements.
We take photos of the back of the eye so that we can build up a long term picture of how the eyes are changing over time. Our computerised test chart is the modern way of providing letters to read during the eye examination. It allows lower case letters, pictures and shapes for children and those with learning difficulties.
Contact lenses bring a whole new perspective to anyone who doesn't want to wear glasses but needs corrective lenses. Lenses must be tailored to both your lifestyle and your eyes so we help you make the right choice from disposable, extended wear, daily, gas permeable, single or multi focal or toric (for astigmatism).
40 or over with an immediate relative with glaucoma, or you have been advised by an ophthalmologist that you are at risk of glaucoma. You are entitled to a free NHS sight test and help with glasses if you (or your partner) are receiving the following benefits or credits:. People named on an NHS certificate for partial help with heath costs (HC3) might also get help.

Just bought my second pair of specs from the Elland branch. The opticians are very thorough with eyesight checks and eye health; the frames are well made with a good choice of modern designs; the staff are helpful, nothing is too much trouble. My new pair are colourful, handmade, Johann Von Goisern😍
