A full English breakfast is traditional here, but you can also start with fresh fruits, fresh eggs from our hens & home-made granola. We absolutely love having your dogs come to stay with us in your room and have a great selection of rural walks, safe from traffic! We are pleased to offer complimentary secure off-street parking which is safe behind our high garden walls.
All bedrooms are named after famous Hunts and each have their own en-suites with either a shower, bath or both. 100 lockdown cocktails, many classics, some new, some variants, together with some anecdotes to make you smile as you make them!.

This is us, Charles & Charlotte Meynell, in bed. We've three boys, Cosmo (25), Felix (20) and Hector (14), sharing the house with Luna, our cocker spaniel, and Mr Bingo the ginger tom. We like people to come and share a slice of our lives and we hugely enjoy meeting new people who come to stay with us.
Shown on the left is the only colour photograph we have of the Hall, we suspect taken about 1965. Note the glorious herbaceous borders either side of the Breedon amber gravelled drive. The old Acacia tree in front of the house is still struggling on but very soon it will be dead. Curzon House on the left is still arranged for stabling (we think) though we know that Capt.
A room suffused with light, often the first choice for photographers taking shots of brides, as understandably its very popular with brides-to-be. With a romantic roll-top bath with a telephone shower attached ensuite, you can soak away your cares in a relaxing bubble bath overlooking the front gardens and the elegant Acacia tree, its feathery leaves being slender and silvery, adding to the sense of calm.
Our twin bedded room, with large and comfortable Edwardian-style singles. Again, like its sister The Atherstone, it was formerly a servants room and features a small fireplace, though you'll find it warm and cosy enough, and it has a view of the garden as well. Beware the owls in the ancient, adjacent Yew Trees, they often like to hoot!
Meynell Mews is a row of self catering townhouse-style cottages, each able to sleep 4, in the heart of the countryside, yet close to East Midlands airport, and between the attractive market towns of Melbourne & Ashby de la Zouch. Quiet, secluded situated amongst two acres of private grounds with secure off-street parking.
