Bellevue House is a Visit Scotland Quality Assured, 3 star and a TripAdvisor 4.5 rated, Scottish Borders Visit Kelso Guest House. The detached Victorian villa is set in a quiet part of the town, only a few minutes walk from the cobbled square in Kelso and a short stroll from the confluence of the rivers Tweed and Teviot.

The guests' accommodation spreads over two floors, dining room on the ground floor with six bedrooms with en suite shower and toilet on the first floor. The Bellevue, when it was built for Thomas Tod Stoddart in 1840, was a cottage. Stoddart, who was from Edinburgh, had more interest in fishing and writing than working at his profession as an Advocate.
Services
Staying at the Bellevue Guest house places you within the Scottish Borders, an area filled with activities to suit all types of interests. There are 21 courses in the Borders which can be played through the Visit Scotland "Freedom of the Fairways" package, including Kelso, The Hirsel, Roxburghe, Duns, Minto and Cardrona near Peebles.
Floors Castle Horse Trials are run over the glorious parkland in front of Floors Castle. The event has been running for nearly 25 years and has established itself as a firm favourite among riders, owners and spectators. The Border Union Championship Dog Show may be young, but it has a character all of its own.
We pride ourselves on our cooking - we source locally, fair trade and free range as much as possible, offer a wide choice on the menu and cook it carefully. The Continental Breakfast is, of course, included. The Full Scottish Borders Breakfast is included when booking through this website, or via phone.
If anyone is looking to stay in a beautiful, clean, well kept and welcoming guest house then Bellevue is the one for you. We have stayed here in the past and recently and both times we felt more than welcome. With a fantastic location you are near to all attractions including the beautiful Floors castle.

Fantastic place! Stayed in the area with my business partner for 4 nights, the breakfasts were absolutely top-notch, thoughtfully sourced ingredients all prepared perfectly. Room was perfect, very comfy beds. Great location, just a quick walk to the centre of Kelso. Can't go wrong!

My brother and I spent a night here during a walking tour of the borders.
Clean and good value for money.
The room is a little cramped but it has all mod cons and the beds were comfortable.
The TV is small and not well-positioned, however we didn't come to watch telly!
The Wifi worked fine and details were easily accessible.
The couple who run the place are very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area.
The breakfast is definitely a cut above "three star", with quality ingredients and lots of variety.

Stayed for a week (yes it is open regardless of google's temp closure). Very clean rooms of an adequate size for our family and an excellent customisable English breakfast included, it is well worth a stay if you are looking for place near the border between Scotland and England. Perfect for seeing many places such as Alnwick and Hadrian's wall plus a visit to Edinburgh is made easy thanks to the excellent customer service provided by Graham and Hillary. 10/10 would go again!

Stayed here this week. Comfy beds, nice and tidy room. Owners are fantastic and were more than helpful, with local tips on where to get lunch and tea. They offer a wide range of items for breakfast which are all local produce and very tasty. Plenty of off road parking spaces too which is great.

Arrived here on a last minute decision to go away for a night.....we got there quite early, way before check-in time but we were still greeted with a smile and a warm welcome by Graham. He gave us the key to our room and a map of the surrounding area with recommendations on where to eat, attractions and what events were happening that weekend .....with a promise our room would be ready by the time we got back. It was. The room was small but perfectly adequate. Everything you could possibly need!! The hosts Graham and Hilary were fantastic the next morning and breakfast was delicious. Most foods
