At Academy Primary and Nursery School we believe that a strong focus on Pastoral Care ensures pupils feel cared for and valued.

I am excited to announce the launch of a partnership for Academy Primary School with a well-known and successful business - Michael Chandler Estate Agents. In a time of financial austerity, it is great to see local business supporting our school in a practical and generous way. I am familiar with other successful school partnerships in the UK, so to be part of one in Northern Ireland is very exciting.
They will be able to provide help and advise. Your GP can also provide access to appropriate specialist services and local organisations. Young Minds has a Parent Helpline that offers free confidential telephone and email support to any adult worried about the wellbeing of a child or young person. Helps you find support for mental health and wellbeing of young people up to age 25 across the UK.
These include, Instagram, WhatsApp, Fortnite, Minecraft, snapchat and You Tube. There is also guidance on how to deal with online bullying screen addiction and online Grooming. Children at Academy Primary School use the Internet on a regular basis as part of their learning. In school, we have regular 'e-safety' activities to remind children of the importance of keeping themselves safe online.
Every student and Teacher is provided with Microsoft Office free of charge. With Office 365, you will have access to the latest version of Word, for writing; Excel, for spreadsheets; PowerPoint, for presentations; OneNote, for organisation and note taking; and much more. Office subscription lasts for as long as the student/teacher remains in school and the programme continues.
