As a past pupil of The Convent of Mercy it is a pleasure for me to be Principal of our school. We have wonderful children and a great school with a very busy as well as varied curriculum and I hope you enjoy the various pages on offer on our website so that you get a real insight into the life of our school.
Please take time to look up our website and read all the new additions to it. This is a great opportunity for you to keep up to date with what is going on in school and to comment on the policies we are revising. As we approach the first anniversary of Minteoir ine, we take time to reflect & give thanks for the wonderful colleague, teacher & example she was.

We, in Our Lady and St Patrick Primary School Bunscoil Mhuire agus Phdraig, fully recognise the contribution we can make to protect children and support pupils in our school. We aim to safeguard and promote our pupils' welfare, safety and health by fostering an honest, open, caring and supportive climate.
Watch out for these budding scientists of the future! Over the last few weeks we have been running an after school science club for KS2. It has been very popular and currently 3 classes are running every Tuesday catering for approximately 50 pupils. The aim of the club is to promote practical, fun science activities and so far pupils have studied electricity, light, chemical reactions as well as a few STEM challenges.
We are delighted to introduce our new Digital Leaders for 2019-20. This year we will be working extremely hard to help ensure everyone in our school is safe online, makes good decisions and develops their UICT skills. We can't wait to get started so watch this space for upcoming events and activities.
The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) is an essential and active part of our school community. All parents and teachers are automatically members and we depend on the entire community to help us support our school. Please have a think about anything you could offer - time, contacts, knowledge, supplies, ideas or just support and enthusiasm - you don't have to commit long term or come to meetings, and it is also a fun way to meet other parents.
