At S R Drinnan Opticians we specialise in high quality eye care and endeavour to make your experience with us one that you'll never forget. But rather than bore you with how great we are, we want to tell you a little bit about our journey so far. Practice owner and optometrist Stephen Drinnan qualified as an Optometrist from Manchester University in 1977.
Finding eyewear that matches your lifestyle is extremely important. If you're constantly on the go, the last thing you need is eyewear that breaks, restricts your field of vision and steams up in bad weather. For these reasons, many people choose contact lenses as an ideal alternative to spectacles.
Your child's sight is precious. Yet, according to research*, 1 in 5 children could be having difficulties at school because of poor eyesight. More worryingly, they may not even be aware of it. At P.W Churms Opticians, we recognise how crucial eyesight is to your child's development. Which is why, in addition to offering NHS help, we go further to help them.

Dry eye syndrome, or dry eye disease, is a common condition that occurs when the eyes do not make enough tears or the tears evaporate too quickly. This leads to the eyes drying out and becoming red and irritated. Dry eye syndrome is also known as 'keratoconjunctivitis sicca' or simply 'dry eyes'. Although the condition can affect people of any age, your chances of developing dry eye syndrome increase as you get older.
