After much deliberation we have decided that now is time to close the doors on our little butchers shop 'Galloway. The family run business was established over 30 years ago in 1982 by Keith & Joan Houliston after they spotted an opportunity travelling around the area selling frozen gateaux, chips and other frozen food.
It soon became apparent there was a gap in the market for good quality fresh meats to the catering industry. Galloway Foodservice soon became one of the main frozen food wholesalers and catering butchers in the region, supplying hotels, restaurants, cafes and other food outlets throughout Scotland and Northern England.

Our freshly prepared BBQ Chicken Melts are prepared fresh to order by our skilled butchers. Fresh chicken breast fillets stuffed with a melting BBQ sauce and covered with lattice puff pastry.

OMG had my first order delivered this week and sooo excited. Started with a lovely square sausage sandwich - amazing! Just had 1 of the biggest steaks I've ever had! delicious! Can't wait to try the steak pie. Will definitely be placing another order in the not too distant future

What a find! I'm exiled in Englandshire and my usual square sausage food parcel didn't make it in time for my visitors. So I placed an order with Galloway Quality meats and it arrived next day in time for breakfast. Also tried their fillet steaks, sausage rolls, and rhubarb tart. All were totally delicious, high quality, and the thickness of the fillet was to be marvelled at so much so I managed to cook it to restaurant standard. My new online butcher of choice!

At last we have found a quality butcher with superb meats and a great courteous service at very good value prices. Our haggis, fruit pudding and stuffed lorne sausage arrived fresh and chilled in less than 24 hours from dispatch and the carriage cost (along with the produce) was remarkably inexpensive.
