Set in 1,000 acres of picturesque views, walks and wildlife, Robin Hood Retreat is a peaceful holiday location ideally situated for all that Nottinghamshire has to offer. All caravan and motor home pitches have hard standing separated by trees with and without electric hook-up. All tent pitches are on lovely grassed areas separated by trees with and without electric hook-up.
There is also a dishwashing and draining area. Please keep noise to a minimum as noise travels through caravans and open windows/tents, especially after 10pm. We are ideally situated in the heart of Robin Hood country in the centre of many local attractions, some connected with the legend and some not.

Nice site with a play area and astro turf 'football pitch' for the kids.
Friendly, chatty staff (so a little confused on the negative/bad reviews regarding staff).
Washroom facilities very clean yet small.
Alot of places to visit near by, some of which are only a few minutes drive away (a Theme Park and Go Karting). Rufford Country Park is well worth a visit (15 minute drive away).
We also visited White Post Farm, National Justice Museum and The City of Caves.
Didnt have enough time to explore everywhere next time we would like to visit Sherwood Forest and Sherwood Pines.

Absolutely ace little park nestled on a beautiful green hill with semi panoramic views across the countryside.
Serene, clean, pretty and extremely well attended by Mick and Polly.
Passed through just for a night with our 2 children, aged 10 months and 3 years.
Felt so safe and happy for them to roam and play (obviously supervised).
Excellent toilet block. Nice clean washing up area with hot water.
We hope to come again and maybe stay a bit longer.

We had a lovely weekend over Easter this year. We were trying out our new motor home so wanted a small site near to home. The site itself is compact, but clean and friendly. Toilet block is ample and hot water readily available. My only small criticism is there is not a separate changing area on the showers so your clothes get splashed as you shower. This is fine if it’s a nice warm day but not so great if it’s cold. We have a large motorhome (8.7m long) and we’re able to manoeuvre this round site easily although we were sited with the seasonal guests as the touring spaces were too small

Recently stayed here with my husband and little boy Finley. The site is small but lovely. Shower cubicles are basic with no huge area for changjng, but it actually works well. The shower block is kept immaculate by Sharon and Peter.
They made an absolute fuss over our son and made our stay perfect. Such a welcoming couple who are working practically round the clock.

My partner Pauline and I spent a week here in September and pitched on the adults Only section which is elevated from the rest of the site. we were very impressed on the layout and care taken in setting out this area which fairly flat although a bit of a slope to access it from reception. All pitches were flat and good sized having a pressed gravel base and EHU points covering all hard standing pitches. Another lovely feature was the central area which was laid with artificial grass with artificial trees on each corner and picnic tables available for campers to use. the bit we liked most however
