Merryfields Barn
We are no longer renting out Merryfields Barn but we want to thank all our lovely guests who have stayed in the barn over the past 11 years and who have left us with many great memories and friendships. Built in 2009, Merryfields Barn has oak beams, doors and floors upstairs and a limestone floor with under-floor heating throughout downstairs.

This luxury self-catering barn has two bedrooms (one with a king size bed, the other with two single beds), both with stunning mountain views. There's a Japanese square bath and a modern, walk-in shower/wet room. The oak kitchen is fully equipped and the utility room has a washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer.
Services
Merryfields Barn has a modern, cosy feel throughout, with everything you'll need for an enjoyable holiday. There are solar panels, fast broadband Internet and Hi-Fi, a new Air Source Heat Pump, thick insulation and under-floor heating to ensure you'll never be cold.

In warm weather, there are two sets of oak French doors which open onto patio areas, one with fabulous mountain views over our orchard and the other completely private, with views of the paddock and Llangattock escarpment. Two bedrooms (one with a king size bed, the other with two single beds) with oak beams and floors, radiators and bedroom furniture.
Merryfields Barn is set in grounds of two acres in a small hamlet of about 30 houses in an area called Ffawyddog, meaning 'beech grove'. It is a haven for birdwatchers, with buzzards, red kites, peregrine falcons and sparrow hawks regularly flying over the property and our resident family of Tawny Owls.
Merryfields Barn is a high quality self-catering holiday cottage in Crickhowell, Brecon Beacons National Park, Powys, South Wales. It is in an area of outstanding beauty including Norman castles, uncrowded market towns, impressive mountain ranges, gentle valleys, glorious festivals and friendly people.

Lovely cottage with very friendly and helpful owners. Spent a great family holiday for a couple of weeks. Sleepy village and lovely base for trips to local picturesque Cotswolds.

Beautiful cottage in a stunning location with the most amazing views. We had a lovely time here with our dog and there's everything you need in the cottage, a real home-from-home feeling. Great walks from the property too & Crickhowell is a lovely village. Highly recommend Dragon Inn pub/restaurant in Crickhowell....they welcome dogs with open arms.
