Services
It includes your choice of tea or coffee, served with a freshly prepared selection of hand cut sandwiches, delectable homemade cakes and mouthwatering scones with fresh cream and jam. We encourage our guests to take time for themselves to relax and enjoy this indulgent treat and escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The tea gardens benefit from the shade of the nearby wooded area, making it the perfect location to enjoy an ice cold beer or glass of wine with an al fresco meal. We have spent many hours improving the gardens and extending the seating area, making the gardens ideal for summer parties, barbecues, walkers' lunches and group outings.
Located in the picturesque Derbyshire village of Hathersage, our traditional character cottage is packed to the beams with original features. The cottage was built as a home for needleworkers, who worked in the nearby needle factory. Spend some time here in the Peak District, surrounded by rolling green hills and picture-postcard villages.

We visited for breakfast on a dreary drizzly Sunday morning in October. I had the king size breakfast which is just under ten pounds. My partner has the all day breakfast. Portion sizes were proportionate to the cost and the ingredients used were good.
The staff warned us that the tea pots leak and supplied an extra napkin... Why don't they just get new tea pots?
My partner asked if she could have scrambled eggs, but they only do fried. Too many places say scrambled egg is harder to make than fried, which I find hard to believe. We would of even paid a little extra.
My bacon was a little bit

When we arrived we waited over 10 minutes for our order to be taken. When the owner realised this she apologised explaining that they were short staffed. Our scones, cream, jam, tea and coffee were excellent. The owner also gave us some cake to apologize for the delay- this was also excellent. Old fashioned Tea Room still insisting on all Covid arrangements. Look out for 'Mrs Overall'!

I had the English breakfast, which was a definite winner! The shop is adorable and cozy, and the service is friendly. The red berry tea was soothing, and the chinaware was very pretty, too, which makes everything taste better in my opinion. Would've liked to try their cakes, but we were way too full.

After searching on-line for a place to eat in Hathersage I discovered http://www.cintrastearooms.co.uk . The menu looked good, so I thought I would try it. This is not a fast food restaurant, but the food was certainly worth waiting for. It was good, wholesome traditional fare. I ordered steak pie. The pastry was delicious and just like I remembered pie should be.The staff were very freindly and I certainly will go again.
