Welcome to the home of John Paul O'Donnell, I'm a classically trained professional photographer in Hertfordshire with a career that spans 24 years. My passion and excitement for my job has taken me all over Europe, specialising in Construction, Fashion and Wedding photography Hertfordshire being our location.
To date I have over 60 completed construction sites, 450 fashion assignments and 1000 weddings under my belt. The wedding Photography packages that we produce are without doubt the best around for quality and value. The bride at my very first wedding was a Christian Dior model with high expectations, and it was this assignment in particular that taught me the importance of creating timeless images where attention to detail is paramount.

As a wedding photographer in Hertfordshire, I feel it's important to have a team of experts who all work together to ensure your day runs smoothly. Below you will see the "Dream Team" these are the main people that I work closely with on a regular basis. These people will all apply something for you free of charge if booking us.
We exhibit at selected wedding fairs, these are usually venues that we are recommended by. It is always great to meet our future customers and see some of our current ones. Whether we have been recommended to you and you would like to meet us. Or maybe you have been speaking to us before and wish to meet us in person.
We use all the social media sites. So if you like facebook, instagram and twitter then we have lots more pictures for you to look at. Currently we have a range of metal pictures from 190. Have your photographs printed directly on to metal and invisibly hang them on a plain wall. This looks absolutely amazing.
There's a lot to think about when it comes to your own wedding, where will your priorities lie? If family & friends are most important to you then you've come to the right place! I'm a bit of a softie when it comes to weddings, I love being part of the big day and I think that is why I have such a great connection with the couples that I photograph.
It is always a pleasure to have the opportunity to photograph a LGBTQ wedding. I offer a professional service to both brides and grooms, tailored to meet the needs of lesbian and gay men couples when registering their love for one another in gay marriage. I shoot weddings with an informal, friendly and fun approach to gay wedding photography.

Booking JP was a complete no-brainer! The minute we met him we knew he was the wedding photographer for us. He took time to ask about our family set up which no other photographer did and on a personal level that was so important to us. He supported us through our covid cancellation and when our big day finally came, he made us feel like ours was the most important wedding. His photography is out of this world. JPO did an amazing job at our wedding 16 years ago today at Fanhams Hall in Ware. Still remember how enthusiastic, passionate and engaging he was throughout the whole day. JP has been amazing every step of the way both on the lead up to our wedding and on the day. As soon as we met JP at a wedding open day we knew he would be great, as he makes you feel comfortable right away which was so important to us as we are not the most comfortable with having our photos taken. The whole process booking and organising everything was so easy and meeting with him feels like you are meeting with a friend already.

JP is an absolute star at what he does! Never could I have imagined what a vital role he would play on our wedding day and it was because of his fun, kind and caring nature that he was able to create the most amazing pictures! Many of our guests thought he was a close family friend due to his relaxed and kind presence. The professionalism of JP as a photographer and the quality of his pictures are phenomenal. He truly connects with you as a person to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera and provides an excellent service! JP was my wedding photographer and I wanted to share my feedback on him. He produced some amazing photographs for us, he blended into the day and was not intrusive in anyway. He made me feel beautiful, relaxed and I had total faith that he would produce amazing photos. My guests felt relaxed with JP and he made taking all the photos fun. He will take the photos that YOU want. He has also taken photos of my daughter for her portfolio which was also excellent.
