The home is a large detached property situated in the small village of Herstmonceux amidst the rolling Sussex countryside. It is set in two acres of land that has been thoughtfully converted and refurbished to a high standard, preserving the character of this charming house. We provide high standards of care and can accommodate 20 residents to include the elderly and those with a dementia type illness.
Our home offers twelve single rooms and four shared rooms. There is a lounge, dining room and library. Outside there is a large rural garden with lots of seating areas and a large parking area. Residents are encouraged to furnish their own rooms in their own style and to use them as much as they wish for leisure, meals and entertaining, so creating a home from home feel.

Here, at Dunsfold, we are specialists in Alzheimer's and dementia. We understand the needs of service users with these problems. Dementia can occur at any age and although the onset is usually after the age of 65, the young can sometimes be affected; however the main cause is the ageing process. There may be any of the following symptoms.
We like to promote activities and hobbies are encouraged as well as new skills. We like to feel that there is social contact and links to the community are kept whilst working within the standards of inspecting bodies. Feeling at home is very important so with this in mind residents are very welcome to bring their pets with them when they come to Dunsfold.
