As you browse through the pages, I hope you gain a flavour of our ethos and what makes being at Ballymacrickett Primary School and Nursery Unit so enjoyable and rewarding. It is my pleasure and privilege to be working with the children and families of our community towards our common goal - to do the very best for all the children in our care.

By working together I am confident that we can ensure our school vision becomes a reality where every child is an enthusiastic and highly motivated learner and is developed to his/her full potential in a secure and safe environment. Our staff and parents enjoy a strong working partnership which will ensure the children's time in Ballymacrickett is a successful and memorable one, and one which they will recall with pleasure.
Services
Ballymacrickett Nursery Unit is a full time nursery that caters for 26 pupils. Mrs Bonner and Mrs Eastwood use the outstanding facilities available to them to create a fun and unique environment which promotes a high level of learning. Below are some of the photographs of our nursery pupils enjoying some activities.
In selecting children for admission to the Nursery Unit and Primary 1, the Board of Governors of Ballymacrickett apply the criteria as set out by our school in the South Eastern Area Board's Handbooks, copies of which are available at the school. Prospective parents and children of other year groups are always welcome to visit, be shown around our school and learn about life at Ballymacrickett.
We at Ballymacrickett Primary School take great pride in our range of extra-curricular activities. The staff are dedicated to provide the pupils with a range of activities that are both enjoyable and educational. We are delighted to have outside agencies providing pupils with activities that are unique.
If you have parental rights but are not the main carer for your child, and you would like to receive information regarding their progress and special events, please contact the school office to register your interest. Please understand that verification will be requested. The school will endeavour to keep you informed by inviting you to parent/teacher meetings and sacramental events.
The work that is done by Ballymacrickett's Fundraising team is invaluable. Recently, the school has been provided money to build an Adventure Trail in the playground, pay for transport to the Pantomime, buy new sets of novels in primary 5 and new reading books in p1, not to mention making some extra funds available for additional class resources.

Great core staff, but had to remove my child from the school after she was extremely badly bullied. Headmaster does not implement anti bullying policies
