Established in 1998 The Natural Health Centre was the first osteopathic clinic in Leeds city centre. With over 25 years experience Sarah Izzard has helped thousands of people. The Natural Health Centre remains a friendly comfortable clinic where the patients' needs are paramount. Our osteopaths will take time to understand your body and how you can stay to symptom free.
Osteopathy appointments are available in Kilkenny House and The Haven. We now teach Iyengar Yoga at The Haven, 4-5 The Gateway West, East Street LS9 8DA, where we teach small classes most days. If we are in physical pain it affects our whole life, we are distracted; the pain and immobility require a lot of attention.

You can also find out more about osteopathy, learn about the osteopaths at the centre and find out what happens when you see an osteopath. Our osteopaths will be very happy to discuss with you if your symptoms are likely to be helped by osteopathy. Members of private health groups including BUPA and AXA PPP may be able to claim for treatment.
By definition Osteopathy is a system of diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of medical conditions. Osteopathy works with the structure and function of the body, and is based on the principle that the well-being of an individual depends on the skeleton, muscles, ligaments and connective tissues functioning smoothly together.
Your initial consultation will last at least 45 minutes. The symptoms that you require treating will be discussed, in combination with other aspects of your health and fitness. All aspects of your health will be considered before a diagnosis is made. The diagnosis, treatment and prognosis, including an estimate of how many treatments you may need, will be explained to you before treatment commences.
Born in 1918, Mr Iyengar lived in Pune, India, where he practiced yoga every day until he died in 2014 aged 95. He had been teaching since 1936 and developed the Iyengar Yoga system. The technique is primarily physical, emphasising precision in bodily alignment, but the effects are also profound on the mind.
Our classes have a maximum of 16 people learning at any time. This enables the teacher to carefully observe all the students and assist any individual who requires extra attention. You don't have to be able to touch your toes or do the splits. Our classes will help you develop your bodies' capacities and harmonise them with a calm and focused mind.
