Pavilion Preschool has been devoted to nurturing and growing happy and confident learners ever since its humble beginnings in the grounds of Pavilion cricket club almost 50 years ago. Through many different guises as the years have tumbled by, it has been the love and care poured into every day by dedicated and experienced professionals that has remained constant.
Take a step through our little green gate and see the magic that our children make every day. An important part of this magic is our not-for-profit, registered charity status, meaning every penny is re-invested into the provision of care, education and play. Added to this, we are run by a voluntary committee of parents and carers, who work hard to support our highly qualified and committed staff team.

Services
Pavilion Preschool (Aigburth) was established in 1969 by six young mothers who felt that preschool facilities were lacking in the area at that time. Originally operating out of the Cricket Club on Aigburth Road, the playgroup moved to the old Woodlands Tennis Pavilion on Dundonald Road, the site we occupy today.
We respect their families who are partners in their children's learning and work with them to nurture their children. We respect each other as professionals and unite to create a positive learning environment. From the foundations of respect and collaboration, our other values spring naturally.
Working within the framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), we aspire to give each child the chance to grow and ensure their time with us is filled with joy, adventure and play.

The preschool is registered with Ofsted and can accommodate up to 28, 3&4 year old children in any one session. We accept children aged between 2.5 and 5 years, during school term times. Pavilion can provide Free Early Education Entitlement of 15 up to 30 hours, subject to availability. Children become eligible for this funding at the start of the term following their third birthday.
I first became involved with Pavilion as a parent to my two children, when it was recommended to me by my neighbour. As soon as I walked in to the building I knew it was the right place to for my family. The staff were experienced, warm and friendly and it felt like I was leaving my children with family.
As a charity we rely on trustees to volunteer their time to over see the governance of our preschool as well as organise fundraising events and positively promote the preschool. We encourage parents to help with the operations at preschool, as we are one large family working together to give a little back to this long established community charity.
