Thornton Hough Playgroup
Thornton Hough Pre-School/Playgroup is located in the beautiful, picturesque village of Thornton Hough with close network links to the M53 and A41. The Pre-School is located next to Thornton Hough Village Hall where we have a lovely indoor and outdoor area. With our close proximity to the village we are able to enjoy walks around Thornton Hough and the children are able to grow fruit and veg on our village allotment.

Services
To offer all the children a secure environment, coupled with a stimulating atmosphere where learning takes place through structured activities. To be constantly aware of, and sensitive to, any particular physical, educational or cultural needs to children may have. To teach through play, the values of kindness, consideration, tolerance and co-operation and to be aware of the needs of others by sharing.
EYFS Curriculum starts from birth to six years. It is called the Foundation Stage because it gives children secure foundations for later learning, in school and beyond. The Foundation stage Curriculum is organised into areas of learning and development. Every child deserves the best possible start in life and the support that enables them to fulfil their potential.
We are very proud of our highly experienced and dedicated staff and high ratios of adults to children in our group. This ensures individual attention to the needs and development of each child. Our membership of the Pre-School Learning Alliance ensures that we are constantly in touch with new thinking in the field of child education and care.
