As a family run business we like to think we are not just another Liverpool Guesthouse, but rather a place that prides itself on providing a family friendly atmosphere and excellent value accommodation. Our bedrooms are large, furnished to a very high standard and very comfortable. All rooms are en-suite with tea and coffee making facilities, 23 Flatview colour TV, central heating and free Wi-Fi access.
We have a lounge that is open at all times for your convenience. There is also a garden patio area. You will be given a key to enable access to Gateway Lodge Guesthouse, and your room at all times. Rooms are available from 1pm on day of arrival and are to be vacated by 10am on day of departure. For an evening meal you are most welcome to order a takeaway and eat it in our lounge area (we can recommend places that will deliver).

Services
Gateway Lodge Guest House is located less than one mile from Liverpool John Lennon Airport making it the ideal Liverpool Airport accommodation (a ten-minute walk at an average pace) and an easy accessible bus ride away from the City Centre. Follow the A561, signposted Airport. Turn left into Speke Hall Avenue, In the near distance on your left you will see a church spire.

The Owner Jimmy went out of his way to sort me 2 twin rooms for 4 Bikers doing a charity ride around the UK visiting cenotaphs of the major cities
Rooms were excellent, comfortable and very clean
He also went out of his way to make sure the 4 motorbikes were as secure as possible to the point if putting a cover an area over were he is getting some work done
Also gave us a great deal on the 2 rooms as they were doing a charity ride
I'll be having my 60th in October and have already started recommending Gateway Lodge to those travelling here
Well worth the cost and definitely earned the 5 stars

First approached the hotel and immediately had a warm welcome from the owner/colleague. Cup of tea straight away when entered the building. Man was really friendly. If you're looking for parking use this place was offered a week parking for 15 pound instead of the 52 pound I paid for the airport parking. Rooms spotless. Charger port next to your bed for your phones tablets etc. I've only been here 10 minutes and its unbelievable how welcoming and friendly the owner was. Proper scouse hospitality. Definitely will be booking again when visiting Poland next year. 11/10.

I was due to arrive late and was even later than expected thanks to a delayed flight. June was waiting for me and immediately offered me coffee, sat and chatted and then showed me everything I needed. She's lovely! The room itself is a lovely size, beautifully coordinated and has everything one needs. The bathroom is sparkling clean with a good sized shower cubicle and electric shower with good flow/perfect adjustable temperature. Bed is so wonderfully comfy especially after a long and tiring flight! It's in a really quiet area despite being so close to the airport. Will definitely use again when

Then proceed to check-in with jimmy,
Which was more like catching up with an old friend, such a genuine & friendly bloke.
The room was immaculately clean & tidy, spacious, airy & light.
But once you close those curtains,
It's pitch black & quiet.
Then the best part is, it's less than a 10min walk (pretty much in a straight line) to Liverpool airport.
Highly recommended,

A great little place. We stayed for 4 nights while visiting family and running the Chester Marathon. Jimmy Nuttall is the perfect host - cheerful, friendly, and went out of his way to be helpful. Our room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. We couldn't have asked for better. Parking was secure. Although we didn't use Liverpool John Lennon Airport, the location couldn't be closer. It was also very convenient for the places we wished to visit. Value was excellent.
