Ashlea Limited carry out all aspects of hard and soft landscaping, including site clearance, earthworks, top soiling, seeding, turfing, tree, and ornamental shrub planting and handling of mature trees. Contracts for grounds maintenance include housing associations, retail parks, hospital grounds, education establishments, new build developments and areas owned by local authorities.

We are also experinced in the handling of mature trees from the selection process involved with the relavant Architect and specialist nursery to the implemation and planting on site.

Since our establishment in 1910 the Grounds Maintenance sector of the company has grown in size and reputation undertaking a diverse range of work for clients throughout the UK. We pride ourselves in delivering a high quality grounds maintenance service for our clients.
Our team of qualified Arborists come equipped with all the necessary skills and experience to ensure your trees and shrubs are maintained to the highest standards. Working to BS3998: 2010 Tree Work recommendations, our work and advice are based on sound Arboriculture knowledge and experience.

If trees are covered by tree preservation order or are situated in a conservation area we will liaise with the relevant planning authority to ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the associated legal requirements.All of our staff are qualified to the correct NPTC/LANTRA certification and all work operations are carried out in line with LOLER (1998) & PUWER (1998) regulations.
This consisted of drilling holes into a section of an embankment on the M6 in Cumbria and the planting 3m long willow poles which would then root and grow to assist with stabilization and help prevent any slippage during adverse weather.

The aim of the trial was to create a more resilient natural environment that supports society in the context of climate change by converting low grade timber into wood chip to provide sustainable, low carbon fuel for heat production through its maintenance activities The trial was a success in terms of the woodland plot being thinned, with 1,441 tonnes of woodchip being harvested and 216 tonnes of firewood extracted from site to be sold on the open market.
