Counselling provides the opportunity to talk in confidence to someone who is trained to listen. Counselling can help make sense of what you are feeling about difficulties you are experiencing in your life at this time. Discussing difficult feelings can help reduce the pain caused by them and may make them easier to understand.

With your counsellor you will work in a private and confidential setting where you will be ale to talk freely and openly about feelings which aren't always understood by family and friends. The counsellor's role is to listen and to respond with understanding, to help you find out why you feel as you do, and to explore what choices there are for you, in order to make your life more manageable.
Services
We offer confidential, one-to-one counselling in Cirencester, Gloucestershire. Counselling is available at various times from 9am - 9pm between Monday and Friday. Clients meet regularly with their counsellor for an agreed number of sessions in a private and confidential seeting within the Centres. There is the opportunity for long or short term counselling.
Cotswold Counselling offers counselling up to the age of 11 years. This is available either in a school setting or at our Centre in Cirencester under certain circumstances. Some local schools buy in this service but some parents choose to pay themselves and the child is seen at the Cirencester premises.
As a Registered Charity we offer affordable counselling. Financial contributions are negotiable and, if possible, we ask new clients to contribute 25 for the first session. This is to cover the administrative cost. If there is a difficulty, this is also negotiable. Further donations, if possible, are decided by the client.
We will then arrange a suitable time for our counsellor-coordinator, Sarah, to speak with you and to arrange an appropriate counsellor for your needs. In the message box please also let us know whether you are happy for us to leave answerphone messages on your landline or mobile. Please be aware that any calls you receive from Cotswold Counselling will come up as a withheld number.
Cotswold Counselling is a registered charity which was established thirty years ago and is run by a dedicated team of experienced staff. We deploy the services of over 60 experienced and trained volunteer counsellors, many of whom also work independently. Counsellors are provided with on-going training and professional, clinical supervision.
