Services
Joanna and Simon were originally instructors at Vo's 2 Taekwondo School. When the Chief Instructor Rachel Innes retired and closed Vo's 2, Joanna, Simon and Chris got together and opened DAN Taekwondo School in Rottingdean, Brighton to continue the high standards of teaching and success in competition and grading promotion.
We hold a class on Mondays for children aged 4-6. See here for class times. At this stage of development the children are still learning and building basic muscle control.
We design our classes to aid their development by creating fun warm ups, teaching basic techniques; simple kicks and punches, understanding the basics of our Tenets (Courtesy, integrity, Self-Control, Perseverance and Indomitable Spirit), and the rst movements of the patterns for the grading syllabus.We try to create an engaging environment for the children that develops teamwork and boosts self-esteem.

Our classes are lead by three instructors (two male and one female). This allows each class to be broken down into groups depending on age and belt level to help the students receive proper instruction. Building Entrance: We are in the blue door to the far right in the front of the building (not the main double doors, just keep walking past them towards the end of the building).
Taekwondo has all the benefits of a traditional martial art such as improved discipline and respect while helping the modern child become healthier via our fitness and flexibility training. Our Kids Taekwondo Classes are fun and we teach each student the values of self-discipline and teamwork in a safe and controlled environment.
In WTF Taekwondo each student is given the tenets to help guide them through their journey to Black Belt and beyond, as well as guide them through life with a good standard of morals. Each member of DAN Taekwondo School must learn and understand each of the tenets, and provide an example of how each tenet applies to them inside and outside of the Dojang.

As a uni student these classes give me such a fun way to get fit, with such a supportive and lovely group of people. All the instructors are really helpful, and genuinely care about your personal achievements and progress. I've been a student here for the last few years, and feel as if my fitness, flexibility and technique have improved so much as a result. Could not recommend this taekwondo school enough.

An excellent and friendly Taekwondo school with a focus on fitness, flexibility and technique.
I have been going to their classes for several years and can honestly say that, no matter how tiring a day I have had, I always feel better after a lesson than before I went in.
A great way to keep fit whatever your age or experience, highly recommended!
