Cabaret Theatre School
At Cabaret Theatre School our aim is to provide our students with an all round dance training in a happy and friendly atmosphere. We provide training in Dance and Musical Theatre with classes in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz and Singing. Students are entered for IDTA exams at regular intervals, receiving certificates and awards for their achievements.

Both of our schools have their own shows at local theatres in Derby and Burton, every student is invited to take part. Sally trained as a dancer from the age of five, at the Carole Robison School of Dance in Derby and turned professional at the age of nineteen. She continues to train and hopes to become an examiner for the IDTA.
Services
We have places available for children aged 3 - 8 in classes at our Burton and Littleover schools. A fun-filled Song & Dance class for young beginners giving them a taste of Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz and Singing. The next stage up from Tiny Tots: this class works towards small 'Rosette' exams in Ballet, Tap, Modern and Musical Theatre whilst continuing with enjoyable Song & Dance routines.
Congratulations to everyone on a fabulous show at Landau Forte Derby this December. Our show was full of wonderful musical theatre performances including 'Me & My Girl', 'Mary Poppins' and songs from Dolly Parton's new musical '9 to 5'. Our cast played to an almost sold-out audience over 2 nights, they really did Shine Like The Sun!
We compete in many Dance Festivals throughout the midlands, check out our recent medal winners below. Emily-May won the Junior Song & Dance trophy, Ashleigh won the trophy for the Highest Marked Derby Performer, and 'Vacation' won the Festival Troupe trophy. Well done all! Elena was chosen to perform her Song & Dance routine in the Senior Bursary - congratulations!
Following the sell-out success of Chicago, we are very excited to present the classic family musical, Annie. This beloved show tells the story of Little Orphan Annie and the hard knock life she leads in New York City in 1933. Things aren't easy with Miss Hannigan running the orphanage, but it isn't long before Annie is whisked away to Daddy Warbucks's Mansion and she gets to live the life she's always dreamed of.
After beginning their training at Cabaret Theatre School some of our students have been accepted into some of the top dance and musical theatre schools in the country. Maddie trained with us until 2006 when she was accepted to train full time at the Royal Ballet School in London. She spent 5 years at White Lodge and then went on to train at the Royal Ballet Upper School in Covent Garden for three years.
