Born and bred within a stone's throw of the Market Hall, Alf started his working life as a butcher for the Ashton Co-op where he became a manager in his early 20s. He worked at the Co-op for around twenty years before setting up his own business, A Pearson's Family Butchers, in 1984.
Here at Pearsons we want to ensure that you have full traceability of our meat products. We always use local producers to supply our beef, lamb, poultry and pork - this means we can provide you with excellent quality, value and consistency. Our beef comes from trusted suppliers in Tameside and Oldham.
We are extremely proud of our British meat products and have been award-winning butchers for many years. Pearsons Butchers won the Diamond Award for the Best Sausage in Britain with our Pork & Honey Glazed Parsnip recipe. The award was presented by famous chef, Jean-Christophe Novelli. Pearsons won the International Competition Eurobeef 2011 Silver Medal for our Steak & Onion Sausages.

Outdoor reared, free range pork has the best texture and taste - and this top quality pork is used in our award-winning sausages. Our sausages are all home made and totally delicious. Off course we produce all your original favourites as well as our newer recipes such as Pork & Honey Glazed Parsnip sausages - which fast become your favourites as well!
