I am offering face-to-face counselling at Kingston Natural Health Centre. We will of course be taking the necessary precautions to keep us all safe. If you would like an appointment for face-to-face counselling with me please let me know as soon as possible. Online counselling is often more effective than face to face therapy (University of Zurich, 2013).

It also enables you to receive counselling wherever you might be and from the comfort of your own home, using your preferred format: video, audio, live chat or email. If you choose to work with me online I will use trusted and GDPR compliant technology applications in order to keep our work confidential.
Services
It's an opportunity to talk about things that concern you, in a relationship of trust and acceptance - working to find a way forward that feels right for you. Counselling is usually a weekly session of 50 minutes. It may be just a few sessions, or it can continue for a year or longer. How long we continue depends on whether you are still finding it helpful - we can check that out regularly.
I am a BACP Senior Accredited Supervisor and have been working in clinical practice for 20 years in various agencies both voluntary and statutory and in private practice. I have many years of experience of providing clinical supervision to counsellors and other mental health practitioners. I offer a safe, supportive space to assist professional development.
Many people believe that couples counselling is only here to help with the major crises in people's relationships, such as when people face divorce or separation; affairs or major conflict. But talking with a neutral third party can also help with the worries that might seem trivial or minor. In couples counselling I work to create a safe context where we can collaborate to improve your connection.
What is Counselling? It's an opportunity to talk about things that concern you, in a relationship of trust and acceptance - working to find a way forward that feels right for you. How does Counselling work? The counsellor will help clients by carefully listening to what they have to say.

The listening process will help a client 'offload'; people often feel helped by talking to someone, a person that is willing to listen without judging them or telling them what to do.
Intimacy means that we are safe enough to reveal the truth about ourselves in all the creative chaos. If two people are totally free to reveal their walls, then those walls, in time, will come down. Healing from co-dependency entails filling that hunger with healthy, loving relationships with others and with yourself and creating a fulfilling life.
