It is with great sadness that we announce the closure of Cottontails Preschool from February half term. Whilst we are closing our doors for now, we are hopeful we won't be in hibernation for long and can reconfigure Cottontails once more during the summer months and provide a quality and local preschool function with partners in the future.
To this end we will retain the charity status of Cottontails and as many of the assets as possible. All sessions are charged at the flat rate with no additional charges for forest school or inter generational sessions. We are pre-school childcare set up in 1973 as a charity organisation to provide a friendly and caring setting for children of busy working parents, managed by parent committee and run by a staff team of early years professionals.

Services
Cottontails Pre-school was formed in 1973 by a group of parents. It still continues to be managed by a committee of parents to provide a safe, stimulating, happy and caring environment where the children can learn through their play. Cottontails welcome children the term after they turn 2 years old and remain with us until they start Primary School.
Children can start at Cottontails at the beginning of the term after they have turned 2. Applications for places can be made up to a year in advance using our new child application form. Applications received after this date will need to start slightly later in the term. Applications will be acknowledged within 14 days of receipt and held on file.
As your child moves on from their time at Cottontails we would be very grateful if you could complete this questionnaire to help us continue to improve and develop Cottontails Pre-school. All answers are treated in strictest confidence. As always if there is anything that you would like to discuss face to face please do speak to a staff member.
Cottontails Preschool & Forest School has a vacancy for an experienced early years practitioner to start as soon as possible in a part time role. Cottontails is a friendly, vibrant village pre-school in Girton, Cambridge with a lovely staff team offering term-time only care for children from two to five years.
At Cottontails we believe that care and education are equally important in the experience which we offer children. We organise our sessions so that the children can choose from, and work at, a range of activities and, in doing so, build up their ability to select and work through a task to its completion.
