At Brockencote the past is never far away: the old building, despite alterations and additions, is still easily recognisable as a gracious Victorian home. In the library and entrance hall especially, it is easy to sense the elegance of the period. Mr. Willis, who built the house in 1880, lived here happily with his large family.

Attended a private function with friends, and basically everything you could ask for in a birthday celebration was provided. There was a bar for a drink afterwards. The hosts choice of wine was impeccable. Lucky me. The venue itself is in a lovely setting and location and looks great from the outside. Inside the service, food and facilities couldn't be faulted. I'm intending to treat my wife sometime later this year. Highly recommended

Wonderful stay, very friendly staff who are all keen to help and make our stay wonderful. Food was amazing. Only criticism would be the menu doesn't change there are five choices but I struggled on the third night to choose having had the tasting menu on the second night. As a result I had to choose the same main course on the first and third night. That said, it was still delicious! Warm and comfortable room, amazing be bathroom. Will definitely be going back.

Absolutely FAB ! Can't fault this beautiful hotel at all....after a long drive it was extremely welcoming with very helpful and pleasant staff ...who couldn't do enough and actually went the extra mile for us...as after a long drive we had to relax and unwind before the evenings event .
Everything was of top quality furnishings in rooms ...service and food ..and good humour 🤣 was 5 star for sure ...there was absolutely nothing not catered for ...and the hotel was extremely busy too ...!
A beautiful hotel for sure just off the village road although even though there is a massive lit up sign

We got married at Brockencote Hall back in 2009! Since then they have been taken over, given a lick of paint, changed the service and by the frames in the hallway, won a bunch of awards. It's still magical going there and great to go for our very first Sunday Lunch. The food was gorgeous, the presentation awesome and the surroundings quality. This is definitely one of our most favourite fine dining locations in the world. For a special lunch or dinner, I highly recommend it. We also must stay again to see what the refurbished rooms look like!

A lovely country house built in the 20s in French chateau style. We stayed in a ground floor double room with a lovely view of sheep grazing over the ha ha. Comfortable bed, plenty of space, storage, seating, large bathroom (with natural light - no nasty, dark little box rooms here) with shower and bath and lots of hot water, tea/coffee etc in rooms and fruit laid out on a table in the corridor. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast (except for disgusting coffee). Beautiful grounds with a duck pond and dovecote. Idyllic village with church, two pubs, tea room, village shop, butchers, florists
