Miserable guy on reception,Human Hairs on the quilt cover 1 small 1 very large. Lamp didn’t work on desk which I required, grout in between tiles in bathroom orange and mouldy urgh with a bit of effort would clean up nicely
No complimentary biscuits on arrival (maybe just being picky) cheap coffee sachets and no complimentary breakfast (obviously COVID terrified) as stated and yet same price for rooms. No information in the rooms about hotel or surrounding area. Travel lodge next visit at least you know what yr getting and also friendly helpful staff.

This hotel has no restaurant for evening meals unless you are part of a coach tour with a package including food. Booking.Com has not been amended to correct the misleading message regarding the restaurant but after you book online the hotel deviously sends an email with an attachment informing the customer that the restaurant is closed until further notice. I drove for 2 hours only to be told that this 4 star hotel was not staffed to provide an evening meal which is outrageous!

Overall it was a pleasant stay ! Check in was very fast and the receptionist was friendly and helpful with eatery recommendations! Room was clean and decent sized even with a nice view ! The only thing is that the kettle gets super hot and I burned my arm a little ! It’s a health and safety issue! Please replace the kettle ! Thank you .

We stayed here one night after visiting West Midland Safari Park. It was only a few minutes from the safari park and located next to a Tesco express with petrol station, which was very handy.
Check in was from 2pm and a nice time of 11am checkout which means no rushing.
Simple room, but had most things we needed (just not a fridge). We had a room with the sofa bed made up for our 5 year old. He enjoyed it and didn't complain about it being uncomfortable.
Free parking and pretty quiet. Friendly person on the desk.

Stayed here on business and loved it. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the towels were delightfully fluffy. The staff were also super friendly and provided an excellent level of service!
I'm the girl who got mistaken for a member of staff because I was wearing a black T-shirt near reception. The staff were very polite and quick in correcting the customer.

We were photographer of a wedding and they could't not give us food on a 9hours wedding just some soup. Even if the couple hasn't ordered food for us, they must have had some food in the kitchen as we saw the staff were eating.(we saw it) Sadly we will have another wedding there, and the couple just wrote me, they won't be able to give us food again as they can't order anything in 4days, they said it is last minute... it's joke.

We go to the Gainsborough Hotel on a Thursday evening for Slimming World. Our room is light, airy and spacious. Very clean and comfortable. We pass the dining room en route to our room and the food smells amazing 😋. We have plans to have a meal once restrictions are lifted. There is loads of parking and the place is beautiful to look at. We really like it there 😊
