Services
I'm always searching for new places to take my children, and feel so fortunate to live in this amazing city full of different places for them to experience - but I've always struggled to find somewhere closer to home.

After I had my daughter, I faced a new challenge of finding somewhere for both my children to enjoy; A place where my toddler son would be safe to run wild (at full speed!), but also somewhere that I was able to give my newborn that special attention they all need.Having been a primary school teacher for 7 years, I've always believed that educating and encouraging inquisitive minds stems through play and active learning.
Diving into the ball pit in search of red apples, balance tall on our giant toadstools, or play peek-a-boo in our tunnel, our climbing frame is a great place for your little ones to enjoy some physical fun.

Our ever changing dedicated role play area means children have real and meaningful experiences engaging in every day life roles such as the Fire station or Flower Shop, and our activity table has educational play based challenges, which help to develop fine motor to language skills. The youngest visitors can enjoy our sensory basket full of textures, lights, and colours to inspire the littlest of minds.
With super staff, delicious food, and a great play area, we can help create the perfect party for you and your child!. Party food: Fruit kebabs, finger sandwiches, vegetable sticks, popcorn, cheddar cheese sticks, Pom Bears, fairy cakes, Cawston Press fruit drink.

Choice of your own role-play area: Doctors Surgery, Fire Station, Flower Shop, Police Station, Post Office, Puppet Theatre, Teddy Bears Picnic, London Underground Train Station or Vet Surgery.Music: Connect your own music to our Bluetooth speakers or we can provide the party tunes for you! Option A - Picnic tea provided by Apple Tree: Starting from 265 for up to 15 children, 15 for each additional child up to max. 30.

Highly inflexible on appointments, which is unfortunate as a multitude of things can go wrong with toddlers. Food is a little overpriced. Overall it's just okay.

Lovely place but no parking for bikes, side road full of parked car and no cycling lane. Not great for little cyclists

Okish rainy day fix.. The playing area itself isnt bad, but the prices are ridiculously expensive for the size and the fact the toilet area doest have a door, it makes it a rather smelly cafe, so bad buying food wasn't a pleasant idea.

A nice set up but pretty limited for babies. Also disappointingly well over capacity - clearly way more adults per child than there should be, and no one checking bookings overall. Did not feel particularly covid secure, sadly.

Lovely soft play with lot's of activities to keep little one's busy. I love that the theme's change and there are always different items to discover! Yummy menu and the coffee is perfect, great for tired Mum's club... hoping to go back once a week.

Came here to refuel and let the 4yo burn off some energy. Great set up, lovely food and nice atmosphere. Everything was well thought out and the take away cup holders on the wall (so you can have somewhere safe to pop your hot drink whilst child wrangling in the playarea) is inspired!

LOVED THIS CAFÉ!! My daughter was settled the moment we walked in which is RARE 🤭 Food and drinks are reasonably priced and the atmosphere was so chilled considering its a childrens play area too! 😆 I was able… to eat my food and drink my lattè at a REASONABLE PACE lol for the 1st time in a public place as my daughter was having a blast with all the creative toys. Id love to return weekly/fortnightly!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The price per 2 hour play:
1-5 year olds £5
6mths-1 year old £3
0-6mths free
Around this area of Hern Hill the parking restrictions hit 12-2pm in the back streets and it will cost you over £6 for those two hours as far as I know. So the Apple Tree Cafe is mostly relying on local costumers and those who come by public transport.
When we arrived this morning around 10.30am it was crowded. Unfortunately we didn't notice the sign in the back saying: we are full, please come back later. The sign on the door said open. The buggies were piled up high, even with a "fold if possible" policy all

I am a regular visitor to Appletree. My 3 year old absolutely loves it, and it works perfectly as a place to hang out with babies and toddlers. The toys and facilities are plentiful and well looked after, and there's a good rotation of new activities. It's bright and airy and the coffee is great. We also hosted my daughter's birthday party there… recently which was absolutely brilliant. The food provided was perfect, it was very easy to organise and it really delivered for the kids and the adults too, who could enjoy a glass of prosecco while the kids were well entertained and safe. I had a party here for my twins last weekend......it was fab fab fab. The cafe is spotless & the service they offer is amazing. I can not recommend this place enough to hold a party for your little ones First Class The communication with the owner is great too. Always replies. Never leaves you waiting and instantly resolved a small hiccup we had on the day after receiving my email explaining what had happened the next day. Emily should be very proud of her new business

What a fab space! Not only does it feel like I'm actually at a nice cafe drinking a yummy coffee with good food, it's a safe and fun place which my toddler loves. Unlike other soft play cafes I've been to in the past, where the equipment is closed in and claustrophobic, this one is really nice and open... you have space to breathe! All super clean which I really appreciate. A lovely touch is the interactive play section which changes every few weeks... We've been twice already and will be back soon!

This place is so great! It’s the only place where I can hang out with my 1 and 2 year old other than home where I can relax and I know they are safe and having a great time. It’s really clean, loads of great toys including a corner where I think they change the theme weekly - my 2 year old loved working in the flower shop! The coffee is amazing and… delicious food on offer all really well priced. They manage the craziness well too by saying it’s full when it reaches ‘tha’t level!! At only £5 a play it’s cheaper than a lot of groups and classes which
