Established in 1958, Howards Opticians is an independent practice in St Helens and to this day remains a family run business with the same strong values in providing the highest level of patient care and professional service. Stuart has worked at Howards since 2003 when he began training under the supervision of Mr Marlow (the previous owner and son-in-law of Mr Howard who originally established the practice back in 1958). Having been qualified for 11 years, Stuart is a very experienced optician who prides himself on giving honest, professional eyecare advice.

We provide standard single vision lenses or the latest in freeform technology varifocals and coatings, including the new anti-blue light coatings designed to neutralise the blue light emitted from digital devices to help reduce glare and eyestrain.

Sunglasses are not just a fashion accessory, they play an important role in protecting the eyes from UV damage and should be worn by everyone. Our prescription and non-prescription designer sunglasses include Oakley, Ray-Ban, Michael Kors, Emporio Armani and Polo Ralph Lauren. We are also able to order in frames from different manufacturers if required, subject to availability.
