Our expert optometrists carry out a thorough examination of your eyes before assessing your vision using the Zeiss i. Profiler. This unique technology maps the 'fingerprint' of your eye. Since discovering The Spectacle Factory on YouTube I have enjoyed all the videos which are so interesting and informative.
As a result I recently contacted Robert by email to purchase some glasses and I now have a pair of Reykjavik Eyes and Cartier glasses.
I am so pleased with them. The service and attention I received was always courteous, polite and helpful.

Highly recommend. This was my first visit to The Spectacle Factory Opticians and the whole experience was first class. The eye exam was extremely thorough and the service and advice provided by Robert in helping me to select the best frames and lenses was outstanding. I have already returned for a pair of sunglasses. I love my new Reykjavik Eyes glasses and for me this is the first time I have actually enjoyed choosing new glasses.

What can I say? I’ve never had an Optician appointment like this before. Right from the very start there was a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere and being offered tea or coffee was totally new for this type of appointment.
The eye test itself was quite familiar with the exception of one machine which improves on what the Optician has already recommended.
I was then introduced to Robert, got a cup of tea and then the fun starts!!! What a great experience it was trying different glasses on that Robert had collected for me, based on information I had given him about myself and my lifestyle

My husband and I recently purchased our amazing glasses, Reykjavik Eyes. We had our eye test and scans at the end of August 2021, and waited excitedly to pick them up on 10th September. We were not disappointed and absolutely love our glasses. We want to thank Claire and Emma for their outstanding service. Having paid a lot of money (over £1500) for what I expected to be the best, despite returning numerous times over the past 18 months with the most expensive pair the vision still feel distorted. Both pairs are lovely and the prescription was the same so not sure why one pair is so different and don't seem to be getting a solution.

After six months of despair, I contacted the spectacle Factory, soooo glad I did. From the initial phone call to the end product, these people are amazing. Claire was so patient knowledgeable and reassuring, as was everyone. I was very nervous about collecting my new glasses, but wow, don't know what I was worried about. They are just fantastic. I cannot thank all of them enough for giving me what feels like my life back. BIG THANK YOU.

Had a great experience when I recently visited the Preston shop. From the moment I walked into a relaxed friendly atmosphere, Robert greeted me and was not intrusive and in discussion his product knowledge was second to none. From the test to aftercare with Asif and in telephone conversations with Ben it truly was a pleasurable experience.

I can't recommend The Spectacle Factory enough. I visited The Spectacle Factory as they were suggested to me by my place of work, I had no expectations and it was my first test in over 8 years. From the moment I walked through the door I was greeted and made to feel welcome, refreshments were offered and I was told that someone would be with me shortly. I decided to look around at the frames they had on display, they certainly cater to a larger budget than some of the big name high street stores do, initially I was put off by this and expected to go elsewhere to get my frames. I got an amazing pair of JF Rey Glasses/Sunglasses! So different and I love them! Great choice of lens and amazing service. Loved that my glasses featured on their Youtube page. I paid £500 for a pair of Jaguar varifocals with ante scratch treatment in April 2013.I only had the glasses for a short while and the frames fell apart whilst in Cyprus.Now I find one of the lenses scratched and The Spectacle factory will NOT replace free of charge,no point in paying for Ante Scatch treatment.I will NOT return to The Spectacle Factory ever again after many years a customer neither will my family.DO NOT LET THEM SUPPLY YOU WITH JAI KUDO LENSES.
