Dated, cold and noisy. We expected a cosy lodge with a roaring fire and some peace and quiet, but we got a large icy cold room with very audible traffic and eerily empty reception. Would not recommend, given all the other good options in the area.

I loved this amazing view to the loch!
The staff was very polite and they even gave us better rooms than the ones we had booked as the hotel wasn't very busy.
Definitely try the food in the restaurant, it was amazing! The breakfast can be better though, very basic options. However whatever is cooked like omelettes were very good, the chef is definitely really good.
The building is old and refurbishment is in progress from what we saw from our rooms.
Just being more careful with the cleaning is my only complaint but still wasn't bad but definitely can be better.
We will visit again!
Ps obviously

Lovely room the rest of the hotel was very tired in need of upgrading. Nobody at reception until 3 o'clock bar closed at 21.30 hrs on a Saturday night and no breakfast on Sunday as well as a disappointing meal. will definitely not be going back

I can’t understand the lower reviews. I usually stay in boutique hotels- meaning I’m too picky even for a Hilton/Maldon/etc- and I thought this place was totally charming. Stayed 3 nights in one of the Double Room with Loch View, and I am thrilled. It was clean, comfortable, and you cannot beat the view. Staff was kind and helpful, and responsive when I emailed before my arrival. Came late November 2021, and it was a bit chilly in the common areas, but who cares when everything else is lovely- that’s what a sweater is for! 113 pounds a night, honestly not bad. Huge (I mean HUGE) tub. I had

Lovely hotel, much better than 3stars. Staff all polite and friendly, food delicious. View from our room over Loche Linhe in photos is spectacular, will definitely be coming back. Brilliant base for Fort William, Glencoe and Ben Nevis. Ideally need a car, but not necessity as near enough to surrounding places for taxi. Can't recommend enough!

Views are great and friendly staff, but hotel itself is very tired... Needs urgent refurbishment!
Cleanliness in room was very poor, dusty shelves, bathroom tiles with dirty buildup, shower head taped up with scotch tape, rusty bathroom heated towel rail... Would I stay here again?... Sorry but NO, as it's definitely not worth £100 a night....

Plus points water was hot, room clean, food edible and staff fairly friendly. Unfortunately the hotel was bare and tired, our loch view room did not represent the photographs online, there was a damp patch on the ceiling, chipped paint and worse of all the bed was HORRENDOUS - sagging with the springs totally gone. For the price paid to stay here a comfy bed is a minimum requirement - would not recommend!

Wonderful!
We could see the Loch from our bed, what a beautiful view. Room large and comfortable, bath and separate shower, view of the Loch from the bath! Staff lovely, great food, lovely hotel, would definitely recommend, would love to go back

Lovely position for a hotel and we had a spacious room overlooking the loch. Staff were very polite and helpful—though there didn’t seem to be enough of them. Sometimes the wait was quite long (not their fault as they were working hard, simply too many guests for the number of staff).
Our room was very clean with good facilities. Bed not very comfy (probably time to replace it).
Dinner in the restaurant was very nice. Staff friendly, but again seemed overworked. Hygiene was good. Food was tasty.
Breakfast was slightly disappointing, mainly due to the coffee (which I am pretty sure was cheap

The hotel is beautiful, lovely views, the staff are so attentive. The room was lovely, spacious and most of all clean! We got there after closing time and the owner came out of his room and was very kind and friendly and gave us a room for a very good price especially with how exceptional the hotel, the room and the views are. The person who sorted out our breakfast noticed that we needed more butter and brought it to us! Thank you so much if we could give this a score it would definitely be 20/10! Couldn't be more thankfull. Xx
