The original Invergloy Estate was created some time in the middle of the 19th Century. The exact date isn't clear, but the house would have been built before the boathouse, and 1860 is still visible above the boathouse door. Probably its date was carved on the main house too, but sadly it was totally destroyed by fire in 1948 and the ruins were later bulldozed flat.

We get many different species to this beautiful location ~ just this year alone we have had a tremendous range of birds and wildlife as seen photographed by our guests. The sea eagle, golden eagle and osprey were all photographed within a couple of hours of each other from our beach by a very lucky guest who was fishing the loch!

Astonishing place. The grounds, bbq hut, benches and hammock. Views of mountains and the Loch right from the living area. The lodge itself is exquisite, such amazing details and comfort. It’s nice to watch the 20+ birds visiting the bird feeder by the decking. Very quiet and special place, I am not surprised they can be booked so far in advance. Perfect for star gazing on a clear night. I can’t think of any way to improve this place. ❤️

What a fantastic place to stay. It feels like a fairy tale. It is very quiet and surrounded by nature and right on the fantastic Loch Lochy. What a great piece of Scotland. The Cluanie Lodge is a great lodge with everything you need. And the contact person is very hospitable and kind. Thank you Daneil for the hospitality. Greetings from the Schreuder family

A secret hideaway nestled on the banks of Loch Lochy, this place offers it all. In its huge, well maintained gardens you'll find a play area, wildlife feeding spots, wood carvings, & beautiful short walks through breathtaking scenery. On the loch itself (3 minute walk), the otter hut offers comfy seats, solar lighting and a place out of the wind and rain (cant be helped on a lochaber holiday in the first week of January!) I can imagine its even better in the sunshine!
Set in the gardens, The barbeque hut looks straight out of the hobbit! And though we didn't use it this time, we look forward to
