We are a family owned day nursery offering high quality care and early education for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers. We aim to provide a safe and fun environment where you, the parent can feel confident your child is happy and secure during their days with us. A big thank you to Freya for always helping when she could at re-arranging H's hours in the Nursery which has really helped me as I'm a single mother with no family in the area. All the staff have always been friendly and it's clear they all enjoy their job and put the children first. We value the fact that L has always been celebrated as an individual and we've never been made to feel that she 'should' be any more or less than herself.

Services
Our ethos at Chappell Croft is that every child is unique with their own style of learning and developing. Our staff celebrate this fact with their child-centred planning. We strive for the children to achieve their full potential by being great role models, provide a stimulating environment, offer comfort and security as well as praising and recognising every child's achievements.
The Government Funded Entitlement comes into force for every child at the start of the Term that follows your child's 3rd Birthday. Each child is entitled to 15 hours per week of funded hours. As a Day Nursery, we stretch the funding to cover the 51 weeks of the year that we are open. This means a total of 11 funded hours per week, which can be taken as 2 sessions.
Our qualified staff endeavour to carry on the patterns of care you have already established at home. We have a separate sleep room adjoining the Playroom, where our babies can relax and sleep soundly whilst being monitored regularly. Nappies and wipes are provided at no extra cost. A Daily Sheet will go home with you at the end of the day, with a rundown of your baby's day, times of sleep, amount of milk taken etc.
Our 2-3-year-old rooms change and adapt to your child's new sense of independence. From choosing and serving their own breakfast to making independent choices on the equipment and resources they access.
The Toddler Room staff support and celebrate each new goal achieved, from potty training to learning to put on their own coats for the first time, every small step is shared with you whether it be at the end of day handover with your Keyperson, or on our online Learning Journals (see for more information on Tapestry, our online system).

Our pre-schoolers have the entire first floor dedicated to their every need. The 3 large rooms each offer different experiences, made accessible throughout the day by our 'free-flow' system. The children have their toilet area which is equipped to support all levels of toilet training. Each child has their own peg alongside their picture, this is the first of many opportunities to nurture their growing independence.
