Discovery Day Nursery is a friendly and welcoming nursery situated in Worthing, West Sussex. The day nursery is close to the parks, town centre, library, museum, and the sea, which offers children a variety of areas for discovery. We pride ourselves in offering children time and space to explore, experiment and develop at their own pace.
We provide a range of experiences to promote language development, reading, writing and numeracy skills. We encourage children to take the opportunity to make new friends and learn the social and educational skills they need to draw upon in later life. Our nursery follows and incorporates the Early Years Foundation Stage in everyday practice.

Services
There are a variety of special educational needs that affect a child's ability to learn. From behavioural issues to concentration levels and physical needs to reading and writing, we will work with you to ensure we are providing the best care and education for your child. The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) sets standards for the learning, development and care of children from birth to 5 years old.
Discovery Day Nursery aims to provide a safe and stimulating environment for your child to feel they are given love, time and space to develop. We believe passionately about outstanding "quality" childcare. This year we are embarking on an externally validated Quality Assurance Programme (QuILT ) developed by Brighton and Hove Local Education Authority.
The staff at Discovery Day Nursery have been chosen for their love of children and enthusiasm for their jobs. We are a highly qualified, friendly, approachable and trustworthy team. We are all first aid trained and DBS checked. At Discovery Day Nursery, we provide staff with extra training in areas of specialism.
We know that good nutrition leads to good learning and that is why we place particular importance on the food served at Discovery Day Nursery. Homemade meals are prepared daily by our trained cook in our onsite kitchen. All of our meals are nutritionally balanced with no added salt and reduced sugar and they provide children with a wide variety of fruit and vegetables.
Discovery Day Nursery ensures our parents are always kept updated and informed about what we do. As a leading childcare provider in the heart of Worthing, our aim is to continue the high standards of childcare we already have and continually look at ways to provide your child with the best childcare possible.

Our 13 month old son has been with this nursery since October 2021 and honestly it was the best decision we ever made for him. Sadly he was born with additional needs and despite absences and trips to hospital,… he’s always bursting to go back to nursery. The staff are truly amazing, kind, attentive and very personable. And extremely professional when dealing with his needs and requirements. They have a fabulous relationship with our son and when you drop off and collect you can really see that with all the children. We looked at many nursery’s in the area and found the staff

I absolutely love Discovery Day Nursery. They looked after my daughter 8 years ago and were fantastic then, she was always happy to go to nursery and now they are looking after my 9 month old! A lot of the… staff are still the same from when they looked after my daughter 8 years ago, which I think says a lot in itself about the nursery and they have been amazing with my little boy and always do their best to accommodate when I have had some unexpected changes recently. My son always comes out smiling and I’m always reassured they will look after him well whilst he is there. Special

My little boy has been at Discovery since September. After visiting numerous, local provisions, and being a very fussy Headteacher, I thought I’d never find the right one and almost gave up looking. It was by chance I visited Discovery. From the first minute I was there, I knew they’d look after my baby. Due to us moving we’ve had to move our little one to a new nursery, the most heartbreaking decision we’ve had to make. Our little girl absolutely loved her 9 months at discovery, making friends and having her favourite practitioners (making some of them stay late on occasion 😅).
We genuinely wish we didn’t have to move her, and would recommend Discovery in a heartbeat!

Our daughter has been at Discovery for nearly 4 years now and is off to school in September. She loved it and was comfortable at Discovery from the moment we came to look at the nursery. She has learned so much in the lasy 4 years and loves everyone there. She is still counting down the sleeps until she can go in again 😅 The staff are loving and caring and always cater for individual children. Our son will start in December and I'm happy to see the friendly faces of everyone for another 4 years. Would highly recommend Discovery.

Didn’t realise I could review nursery or I would have sooner! My son (20 months) has being going for a year now and loves it. He’s had a few health issues which nursery have handled brilliantly, keeping me updated when necessary and generally supporting us both. As a single parent the family feel of the nursery was really appealing and it didn’t… disappoint. Even though I now work in the opposite direction to nursery I couldn’t bring myself to move him! I’d recommend the team at Discovery Day Nursery to anyone. Me and my son are both confident we’ve made
