A home to lively banter, silly games, like minded folk, craft beers, fine wines, delightful food and all that makes us smile in the institution that is the British public house. We've designed the pub the same as our home, an eclectic mix of things that make us smile and we're serving drinks that we have tasted many times.
Because they are right tasty! We spend a long time sourcing our ingredients to deliver the best possible fresh pub food, including the best brunch in Salisbury as well as long lazy Sunday lunches. We have an unrivalled selection of craft beer, real ale, craft gins and wines delivering what we believe to be the best craft pub in Salisbury.

The world is a finer place when there is a fantastic hostelry in the neighbourhood, and the English really do this brilliantly (as of course do the Irish, Scots and Welsh, but for this story let's stick with the English). Thus when pub aficionado Eddie and his long suffering Mrs, Buffy stumbled across the Old Ale House their destiny was sealed.
As one of the few gastropubs in Salisbury we pride ourselves on cooking with fresh ingredients, often locally sourced. Whether for a quick pub lunch, a long lazy pub supper or for a special event we have a range of menus to suit. We are perfectly located for a pub lunch near to Stonehenge bus routes or as the nearest pub to Arundells, the former PM Ted Heath's Home.
The Old Ale and Coffee House is an independent pub in Salisbury that we've designed to be as welcoming and as fun as our own homes. Bright, lively and comfy where every piece of art or quirky furniture has a story to tell. The bar showcases the best range of craft drinks in Salisbury, the garden is the coolest pub garden in Wiltshire with our bookable huts and garden bar.
Websites have become too monotonous now and only give you what you really need! So here we've given you links to some very useful drinking information that you didn't realise you needed and that you can use to improve your prowess and hence your bar presence. We are a home to lively banter, silly games, like minded folk, craft beers, fine wines, delightful food and all that makes us think or smile.
If you need a pub near The Salisbury Museum, want to discuss a big family Sunday lunch after visiting Salisbury Cathedral or are looking for a pint of real ale near Salisbury railway station and need to know what's on tap today please do call. We're very friendly! We are of course always looking out for new talent and whether it's as a chef, bar person or as a magician, joke teller, music maker or designer please do get in touch with us.

Staff is very friendly, attentive n cool. Customers get their attention as soon as they entered. Lovely beer garden at the back. Well seated. We didn’t try their food but looks delicious.

Lovely place for a spot of lunch. We enjoyed a halloumi and mushroom burger, our little person had the haddock chowder. All were delicious. Its VERY dog friendly, great if you love them, a bit annoying if you do not enjoy constant barking while you eat. No criticism of the pub more the dog owners really. Perhaps doggie families with noisy mutts might consider eating under the covers outside perhaps as a general rule?
