Chalke Valley Stores
The Chalke Valley Stores, known locally as the HUB, is situated in the United Reformed Church in the centre of the village of Broad Chalke in the heart of the beautiful Chalke Valley, officially designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It comprises a Shop, a Post Office and a Coffee Shop.

In addition to providing a service to the local villages, we also welcome visitors from all over the country - indeed increasingly from all over the world. Many come to the Chalke Valley to explore the area which is rich in history and has many places of great interest to visit as well as events to attend.
Services
The Hub is a facility for the whole of The Chalke Valley, and not just for the village of Broad Chalke. The shop and coffee shop are run by a full time salaried Hub Manager, Tony Patel, and his team of part time salaried staff. The Chalke Valley Stores Post Office is an outreach of Tisbury Post Office which provides a postmaster on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
Many people have asked that we expand our "free from" range and so in response, Tony is planning to do just that by setting up a special area in the shop exclusively dedicated to, for example, gluten free bread and pasta together with certain dairy products that fall. Join our mailing list and we will automatically send you news, information, special offers and promotions.
The Coffee Shop is a welcoming meeting place serving tea & fresh ground coffee with cakes, biscuits and scones, plus soup / light meals at lunchtime. We also have FREE WiFi. Cycle tours, coach parties and walking parties have become regular visitors to the HUB. If possible please let us know of your plans in advance so that we can make the necessary preparations for your arrival.
Straddling the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Chalke Valley stretches from Salisbury in Wiltshire to the east across to Shaftesbury, Dorset in the west. Broad Chalke, or Broadchalke, is halfway along the Chalke Valley where the River Chalke flows into the River Ebble. The village sits on the banks of the river Ebble, which feeds the watercress beds for which Broad Chalke is noted.

What a wonderfull community store....well stocked stores with great cakes and cards aswell as gifts and normal essential groceries. The coffee shop is a must...fantastic atmosphere , clean and inviting. Much bigger than i envisaged. The menu is suitable for people who just want a quick stop and chat or like we did a special trip for a light lunch....the soup was lovely. Highly recccomend and may well be stopping off in the summer while out for a cycle ride. Good wheelchair access with ramp to entrance and wide doors. Well done to all the volunteers you are doing a great job.

This is a wonderful community village shop and thoroughly worth a visit. Plenty of provisions, good opening hours and helpful, friendly staff. A perfect product of a community working together. And opened by Terry Pratchett by cutting a string of sausages!
