The Cathedral hotel is literally a few minutes' walk from Lichfield's magnificent 13th century cathedral and offers everything you need for a relaxing stay in the heart of the city. Family owned and run, the hotel offers comfortable bedrooms, a cosy Lounge Bar, great breakfasts and a really warm Staffordshire welcome from a team who will go out of their way to ensure you feel right at home.
We offer comfortable beds in a choice of well appointed rooms, free w-fi plus great value rates. We are proud that there is a huge amount to see and do in our heritage city, including Lichfield's Cathedral, museums and unique shops, but it's also worth venturing out to see some of Staffordshire's other many attractions, like the National Memorial Arboretum, Tamworth Castle and Drayton Manor Theme Park.

Services
The Cathedral Hotel was originally a coaching inn - there is an arched window in the bar area which used to be the entrance to the hotel. As a hotel, the building has a long and successful trading history stretching back to the early 1970s. In 2003 the hotel, then known as The Little Barrow, was sold by owners Mick Denny and Jan Uzupris, to Mr & Mrs Steve Pike who ran it until 2007.
The Cathedral Hotel on Beacon Street in Lichfield offers a warm welcome to touring coach groups for meals and overnight stays. Passengers can be dropped off right outside the front door of the hotel and there are several free coach parking locations around Lichfield - which is just one of the reasons why Lichfield has been awarded coach friendly status by CPT, the Confederation of Passenger Transport.

Extremely poor experience. Cob webs, excessively loud music from a function until 00:30, unfriendly and unprofessional staff. The hotel boasts ‘deep cleans’ in the room on an info card despite cob webs, dirt and scuffs on the furniture (have taken photos to submit to the council). We were above the function room that had excessive base and music until 00:30. We called reception at 23:30 wondering when it would end to be informed ‘booking.coms fault as they don’t list a function room but their website does’ as if the listing of a function room quantified loud music until 00:30. Very poor experience. Unclean, extremely loud until 00:30, unprofessional and dismissive staff. Felt very disappointed when leaving the hotel and had the sense we had wasted our money. Cob webs in various places in the room combined with scuffs, dirt and a poor finish. We didn’t go in there expecting a 5* and we have stayed in many hotels due to work amongst other things and it simply wasn’t clean or at a standard for the service they advertise. I am unfortunately going to take this further and have taken photographs that speak a thousand words.
