We pride ourselves on being a warm, caring and friendly school. Pupils benefit from the excellent care, guidance and support which is provided to ensure the positive wellbeing of all our children. At St Gabriel's we believe no child should suffer harm, either at home or at school. Everyone who works in our school has a responsibility to make sure that all our young people are safe.

St Gabriel's Catholic Primary School is a nurturing and inclusive community, united through the love of Jesus and inspired by Christian values to share the Good News. It is through these Gospel Values that we educate pupils on their role within our school community and beyond. We celebrate the diversity within our school community and promote tolerance and respect for one another.
On behalf of the children, staff and Governors, I would like to offer a very warm welcome to St Gabriel's Catholic Primary School, serving the community of Higher Folds. We are a Voluntary Aided, 1.5 form entry school with approximately 300 children currently on roll. We have a nursery on site offering excellent provision for 3 year olds led by a qualified teacher.
Our aim at St Gabriel's is to encourage pupils to develop an appreciation and understanding of the past, evaluating a range of primary and secondary sources. Our young historians will also be able to explain clearly how these sources give us an insight about how people around the world used to live and how these interpretations may differ.
I have been the school SENCO for a number of years and am also currently the Year 3 class teacher. At St Gabriel's we work hard to identify those children who need additional support for either their cognition and learning, communication and interaction, sensory or physical needs and social, mental and emotional health.
The basic equality between all human beings has always been fundamental to Catholic belief and teaching. St Gabriel's Catholic Primary School acknowledges and welcomes diversity among pupils, staff, governors and visitors. Our Equality Policy outlines the commitment of the staff and governors to promote equality.
