Using the very best - usually locally reared or grown - ingredients, we prepare our meals right here in our shop in Queniborough. We then package, seal and freeze them to ensure they reach you in perfect condition. Clarkes is a family business, established in 1982. We run a village shop in rural Leicestershire which began as a butchers but now sells an increasing range of delicatessen items.

Our Ready Meals business began in 1988 on a small scale and has been so successful that we now sell in a number village stores and farm shops locally, nationally and even internationally. Butcher's Counter Report

Succulent beef fillet with chicken liver pate and sliced mushrooms encased in beautiful puff pastry. 2 x chicken fillets filled with blue stilton cheese then wrapped our plain dry cured back bacon, a hearty meal. 12 x seasoned minced pork balls covered in a sweet and sour sauce with spring onions and sesame seeds.

Meat is superb. Choice of meats great. Cooked meals a real tasty supper. Will travel to them any day. Would not buy meat from any where else

Proper butchers etc, good produce of quality, helpful staff and not to pricey (I don't mind paying a bit more for quality) and I always end up coming away with more than intended.

I go for a few sausages or the Sunday roast, but come out with a dozen or more items. Pork pies are the best you can buy, their sausages are the best we’ve ever tasted and don’t forget to try the beef truffles .... genius!!

Popped in for a Sausage Roll today.
Absolutely amazing, really generous portion of sausage inside, delicious and for a fair price too! So good I told all the workmen to go grab one at lunch and also left a review on here, I would have left a photo but I wolfed them both down.
Not a local but will be popping in again when I'm in the area!! 10/10.
