We had our wedding at Porthgwidden Beach Cafe in October and the whole team did such an amazing job. It is a gorgeous venue and Di, their wedding planner, was absolutely fantastic throughout the whole planning process and on the day. She is amazingly organised, friendly, proactive and professional, and really put her all into making sure that the day ran smoothly. She was really on top of everything that needed to be organised and helped so much with things like working out the timeline of the day. We were in touch so much before the day that it felt strange to stop all the texts and emails afterwards

Great little place to stop off for a cuppa and a bite to eat, prices did frighten the beejezus out of me but then again I’m a pesky tourist and not used to Cornish prices. The town council however ought to be… ashamed, the gents toilets adjacent to the cafe had a blockage, toilet water mixed with god knows what else running out of the door and down the street…… YUK !!! I little friend joined us part way through and shared a biscuit, that made me happy again.

Really really good food and very friendly service. The whole.place was very calm and relaxed. We were told as we arrived to follow Covid protocols in a very informative and friendly manner. The service was delightful even though the waitresses had to do it from behind masks. Food was excellent and very very good value. Can not recommend this place highly enough if you're visiting St. Ives.

Far away from home we wanted to celebrate an 18 birthday with friends and our choice fell on the Porthgwidden Beach Cafe. We knew it was good there, but we had no idea that it was so good at this big dinner. I tentatively mentioned the event on the phone, especially since we made the reservation at very short notice in the middle of the season and the restaurant is quite small. All the more surprising was the nicely prepared table right in front of the window with an awesome view over the beach out to the sea. And there was wonderful food for all ages, gourmet burgers for the youngsters, my beloved

The food was great, the view is fantastic but the staff were even better. As soo. As we arrived they were friendly and welcoming. We had two children and acessability needs and they couldn't have done more for us. The squid was the best we'd ever had. The atmosphere was warm and cosy. Located by an idilic beach where the boys went and played on the rocks and the sand for the rest of the afternoon. Great place can't recommend it highly enough.
