Services
The food offered at The Red Lion is made from seasonal fresh produce, sourced locally where possible, and all made in house. Everything from our daily baked bread through to our homemade ice cream. Start your weekend off right with brunch at The Red Lion. From a good old fashioned Full English to our fabulous variety of Eggs Benedict, we've got all bases covered.
Our fabulous river garden was stage 2 of our refurbishment and was completed in the summer of 2016. From our stunning Balearic style lounge area to our lovely outdoor summer bar, whilst playing chilled summer vibes and Boasting 25m of new moorings. There's no nicer place to be other than the Red Lion River Garden.
The Red Lion is one of the oldest established riverside pubs in Shepperton, situated between Sunbury and Chertsey, on what was, for many years the main road in the parish. The oldest part of the pub lies back from the road and is now used as our 'Snug'. This was the building occupied by the first known licensee, Robert Reed, between 1722 and 1730.

Delicious meal for 4. We had a mixture of seafood and meat dishes and all were excellent. The lamb was cooked in a Sous vide giving it incredible tender juicyness. Cannot recommend highly enough. Very nice environment - tasteful decor and photography hanging on the walls. We were treated to mostly reggae on the speakers all evening which was fine by me 👍 Beavertown on tap 👌 Deep sea mussels were very impressive (but apparently not always on the menu). Good parking but imagine it goes quickly when they are busy. Give them a go!

Loved this pub, friendly and helpful staff.
The garden at the entrance is lovely, covered, heated and comfy sofas.
There are also little sheds with Dining tables in for groups.
There's also a Snug which is available for private hire for groups of up to 30 guests
Menu looks beautiful although we had already eaten before we arrived.
Will be back soon Red Lion!
Areas of improvement:
- Loos could do with nicer soap!

This is a really nice pub set on the river bank, great if you’ve a boat and want to pop in for a pint or lunch!
There is a busy-ish road that divides the river garden from the pub but don’t let that out you off as they have a mini-bar on site to serve you. Just keep an eye on kids.
We just had a couple of pints today but the drinks list is fairly extensive, I’ve also eaten burgers here in the past which have been nice.
I didn’t use the toilets on this occasion but they were fine last time.
There’s a small but ample car park to the side of the pub as can be seen in my pics. Be careful

The location of the terrace by the river is great. You can drink, eat and watch the boats go by. There is even a large landing stage to Moor up and enjoy the facilities. There is a main road behind but with the hedges it doesn't really intrude. The pub itself is the other side of the road but table serve by the ever helpful staff is excellent so not an issue.
The only problem is the "background" music. While the music itself is fine it is piped via several speakers in the hedges. In the lounge seats these are only inches from your ears and therefore makes conversation impossible. It's a lovely
