Putting it simply: we love food. Good, honest, fresh food. It's very important to us here and our busy restaurant is open daily, so whether it's a light lunch or a relaxed dinner you fancy, our friendly staff will welcome you and great food awaits. We have 2 bars offering a great selection of wines, whiskies and real ales, and guests are welcome in whichever area they feel most comfortable.

The 1st tee at Banchory Golf Course is only 166 yards or a nice 6 iron from the hotel car park. Set above the banks of the River Dee, the picturesque par-69, 18-hole golf course offers a challenge with its strategically placed bunkers and mature native trees providing a test for even the most accomplished players.

Good food with friendly staff. Just a shame food stops being served at 8 and the bar closes at 9 ( not sure about the bothy) but generally a friendly place well priced

Staff seemed overwhelmed and confused by everything. 2 different dessert menus were provided (one on the back of the Mains which was better, and a shorter one which was awful) and no clear answer why the original one wasn't available. Took 10 minutes and 3 staff to provide a jug of milk for coffees, despite requesting this from the start. Restaurant seemed too busy yet there were 6 or 7 waiting and bar staff in duty that we could count. Didn't note which steak was which before serving. Service between courses was on the border of being too long. Seems like it needs to decide whether it wants to

Below average for pub grub battered haddock was overcooked and definitely not fresh it looked ok on arrival but taste was very disappointing. Wouldn't recommend

We had a lovely meal outside in the beer garden tonight. Excellent food and even better service especially towards Arlo our border collie! A must if your in banchory, never felt so welcome especially with having a dog. Thanks again, woof from Arlo 🐕

Some of the best food! Such friendly hosts and so understanding. Room was fine for a family of 4! Overall a great stay, would recommend to anyone in the Banchory area 😄

We spent an hour here on a really sunny day, the friendly staff suggested that we might like to sit outside in the sun and served our drinks there, so pleased that we did, most enjoyable.

We stopped here for a quick lunch bite. It was a really pleasant surprise! The food was really, really good and the perfect portion size. Staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. They have a really nice outdoor balcony so we enjoyed our food with some Scottish sunshine!
