The location is lovely. We sat in seats at the back overlooking the river. The beef and potato soup was nice for £5.50, this was an adults portion for a child. It was about the right size with a very small bread roll.
A small bowl of chips was £4 for the table. However, the ham sandwich for £7.50 felt like a dissapointment for the price. It was billed as coming with fresh dressed mixed salad and crisps, which indeed it did, but in a very small portion. None of us are massive eaters, indeed the person it was ordered for is size 8, but we all looked at it as though to say is that it for a £7

It's an absolute delightful place to visit with amazing tasty food. Been here many times and would definitely recomend either for a dining experience while visiting Banchory or even just a scone and a cuppa. With amazingly friendly and good sense of humoured staff 😊, And after there's the amazing sight of the falls outside.

Travelling over the mountain road into Banchory, this place was a sight for sore eyes! The amazing Feugh Falls runs into the Dee river, and is broken up by a collection of grey and black boulders, it's really stunning.
As you drive over the little single track stone bridge, a little cottage like tea room appears, perched on the bank of the river. It obviously had some extensions added over the years, but they are tastefully done and in keeping with the feel of the building.
