Services
Victoria House Funeral Service in Hartlepool, is a truly independent team of qualified and experienced funeral directors, established in 2013 by Carl Mean, Apolena Wilson and Andrew Evans. Together we share over 60 years' experience. Carl Mean Dip FD, MBIE is a fully qualified funeral director who has worked in the industry for over 25 years.
If your loved one passed away at home, the first thing to do is call their doctor who will sign a medical certificate confirming the cause of death. You will also receive a Formal Notice which states that the Medical Certificate has been signed by the doctor and guides you through the steps of registering the death.

Thank you Andrew Gardner and staff for the professional and caring service given during the difficult and trying time of arranging the cremation of my late mother. My sisters and I found their suggestions and knowledge made the whole process, not easier but a lot more simple. The actual day of the cremation went very well and the family found comfort in the help and directions given by Andrew. The dress and bearing of the staff added to the atmosphere of respect shown to my mother.

The care, professionalism and genuine empathy shown by Apolena and all of her colleagues shown to me and my family during what was a very emotional difficult time for us all, was truly exceptional.
