Bulstrodes
We can provide written inventories and formal valuations for a variety of purposes, including insurance, probate and succession. Bulstrodes was established in 1919 as a firm of auctioneers and valuers of antiques and fine art and has been constantly serving the historic town of Christchurch and the Bournemouth and New Forest areas ever since.

We are a friendly and family run business with professionally qualified staff and a full diary of many auction sales a year, we hold large fortnightly furniture auctions and a collective monthly antiques and collectables sale. Our competitive rates and commitment to new technologies such as live internet bidding has resulted in some extremely significant prices being achieved for important pieces.
Services
We are pleased to offer our opinion of the likely value of your property if offered in a Kate Howe Ltd. auction. Bulstrodes offers auction estimates solely on the type of property that we sell at auction. For those areas in which we do not specialize or for items which fall below Bulstrodes minimum consignment values, we are not able to give auction estimates or any other information.
By Rail :: We are situated next to Christchurch Railway Station which is on the Main Bournemouth to London line. Travel South on the M3. At Southampton change to the M27 which then becomes the A31. Follow the A31 until you reach the turning for the A338. Travel South on the A338, towards Bournemouth.

An old school auction room, selling old washing machines too fine art. Helpful staff with a lot of experience. Not the cheapest place in the world to sell something, but if you want it gone, they will sell it.

STEP AWAY AND BE AWARE , for your good..Never thought I will write such review in England , My experience with this Bulsrodes auction house is very strange and new to me. I used to buy thousands of lots from different houses within the last 15 years, never faced such issue.. As Mr IAN HAWKINS commented in the reviews that there was a missing part of his lot not received . But in my case , only solid antique gold lot within 5 lots purchased was not sent and have tried many ways to contact them and emailed many times explaining the problem but they never replied for a whole month and many inquiries

Rude and unprofessional. I've been going to auctions for many years all over the UK but it was my first encounter with Bulstrodes, and it was a pretty nasty one.
I bought two lots from them - a collection of "oil paintings" which turned out to be horrible-quality prints (not even limited edition prints) and a Victorian book-stand without the book-stand. Yes, you heard right, the item that was described as a "Victorian book stand" did not actually come with one. It was legs from what used to a book stand.
ALL professional auctions I've been to before describe faulty lots in one of following ways
