We recycle spent coffee grounds into a broad spectrum of efficient, sustainable products for a range of markets, both consumer and industrial. The UK consumes 95 million cups of coffee every day, creating hundreds of thousands of tonnes of spent coffee grounds every year. Much of this discarded resource ends up in landfill emitting harmful greenhouse gases, including methane.

We work with the biggest companies in the UK to transform these spent coffee grounds into value at an industrial scale, giving new life to a material previously considered waste, and contributing to a circular economy. Our efficient coffee recycling and renewals service reduces the financial implications and inefficiencies of traditional disposal methods, whilst achieving significant environmental benefits.

We are a team of experts innovating through coffee waste to create impactful, sustainable change. Eight years ago a student noticed the film of oil collecting on his cold americano and began to wonder. Struck by the volume of used coffee grounds going to waste, he found research supporting his theory that the used grounds contain oil and could therefore be used as a fuel source.
An estimated quarter of a million tonnes of spent coffee grounds are unnecessarily discarded in the UK every year. We create value from this wasted resource. While sipping our daily lattes keeps us all connected and caffeinated, it also leads to a hidden stream of waste: coffee grounds emitting harmful greenhouse gases in landfill and anaerobic digestion, or simply being inefficiently incinerated.
We offer a solution to the approximate quarter of a million tonnes of waste coffee grounds produced annually in the UK, helping businesses save money while achieving greater sustainability. Waste coffee costs businesses millions of pounds in disposal fees and harms the planet through associated emissions.
As the world increasingly demands sustainable alternatives, Inficaf displaces virgin or synthetic materials for new commercial and industrial applications. While others have made use of spent coffee grounds in a variety of innovative but small-scale products, the challenge is sourcing enough of the raw material to expand these efforts.
From flavour and fragrance products to cosmetics, dyes, pigments and more, food-grade spent grounds offer a sustainable, innovative solution. Despite the brewing process, spent coffee grounds still contain a significant volume of their inherent natural chemical compounds, leaving considerable residual value left untapped.

This is a wonderful idea. Americans drink enough coffe to make this the next big thing. And at a low cost to consumers because you don't have to drill, just drink. Joy Woods
