The Club's day to day operations are headed by General Manager John Maguire who has been at The Richmond for 15 years. He has a wealth of knowledge about all matters golf and hospitality within the Club. John is supported by House Manager Tony Brown who is the longest serving team member with an impressive 34 years of service. Our executive Chef is Andrew Coker who brings a unique touch to many signature dishes and is a master of classic Club favourites too.
Services
The course was originally laid out in 1891 by prolific and esteemed course architect Tom Dunn in attractive parkland bordering Richmond Park and Ham Common. In recent years the course has been substantially upgraded with the help of TPL, the firm of golf architects founded by five times Open champion, Peter Thomson.
The first is our shortest par 4. It's a slight dogleg, guarded by bunkers on the right and trees on the left. The biggest hitters may attempt to drive the green, but they'll need to ensure that they get the correct line. Many will take an iron from the tee to keep the ball in play. The second is dead straight and is one of only two holes on the course not to have any bunkers.
Passing the Master Greenkeeper exams in 2004 is still one of his proudest achievements - especially as he is one of only 80 people worldwide to achieve MG status. Les is a keen golfer and, as his +1 handicap suggests, he excels at that too. He's a passionate Course Manager and oversees a team of 10 to nurture fantastic putting surfaces and a golf course that remains playable throughout the year.
Our mens locker rooms re-opened in the spring of 2019 following an extensive refurbishment. Boasting top quality fixtures and fittings, over 500 full-length lockers, a visitors' area and friendly locker room staff, our changing and showering facilities are of the highest standard. The ladies facilities have also had a recent makeover so our changing facilities for both members and visitors are luxurious, stylish and comfortable.
His shop is stocked with the latest clothing and equipment from all the major brands. A full custom fitting service is available alongside a comprehensive coaching service that caters for golfers of all abilities. Steve is assisted by Ryan Holland, Nick Lloyd and Matt Clay who are all available for coaching seven days a week.

One of the best, most challenging courses I've ever played and in a stunning setting.
Without doubt the best greens I have ever played on and at times I felt guilty walking on some of the aprons because they were so perfectly manicured.
Very friendly staff and very well run and organised. I just hope I get the chance to play here again. Brilliant.

I'm a member so I'm biased. I can't think of a golf course so finely prepared for play. A heavenly corner of greater London by the Thames and Richmond Park. Fine test of golf and breathtaking clubhouse.
