The Golf Club Great Britain is the largest online golf handicapping scheme with members worldwide. Established for over 35 years, and recognised by St. Andrews, we offer not only handicap monitoring but golf insurance, regular golf days, weekends away and overseas trips. We have a unique Golf Handicap scoring system which calculates your handicap, in keeping with the 2020 World Handicap System.
Once you become a member and have obtained your initial handicap you can update your handicap online, or submit cards to us and we will enter them for you. Either way, you can then track your Golf Handicap online via the member's area on the website. In the members area you will have access to the Order of Merit, Directory of UK Golf clubs and your Instant Handicap Checker!

Our unique system provides members with the ability to upload their score cards to our site, which automatically updates your handicap and score card history. We have now fully implemented the new Worldwide Handicap System which came into effect in 2020.

Golf Club Great Britain provides a unique Gold Handicap service, with a Golf handicap card and certificate. We are also proud to be only one of two organisations issuing handicaps which are accepted by St. Andrews to play the Old Course. Unlike other schemes available we offer much more than just a Golf handicap certificate.
The UK Golf handicap has now changed. With one single, global system in place for the first time, golfers will be able to obtain and maintain a Handicap Index and use this on any course around the world. The Golf Club Great Britain handicapping scheme will be implementing this system so your handicap with us will be in line with official club handicaps.
How to get a handicap card with The Golf Club Great Britain couldn't be easier! To obtain an instant handicap simply apply for either gold, silver or bronze membership, get three cards together which have been filled in with your Name, Gross Score (added up please!) and date played and email them as a pdf, jpeg or scan to katebrown@golfclubgb.co.uk.
Getting a Golf handicap certificate and card is essential because it lets other golfers know your level of ability. Plus the majority of courses in the great golfing destinations such as Spain and Portugal are demanding to see a proper golf handicap card. Our golf handicapping scheme calculates handicaps in the same way as a private golf club, which enables fair competition between all golfers.
