Although the brand iBuntu Opticians is a new name in Cornwall, our resident optometrist Sandhya Dharumpal has been working in Cornwall since 2005 practicing at many of the high street chain-store opticians across the county (initially based at the Dollond and Aitchision store on Lemon street). With over 20 years experience Sandhya wanted to offer a more personal experience, ensuring that your vision and eyes receives the best possible care.
We offer an extensive range of designer and budget frames, with the latest styles in sunglasses from some of the world's leading fashion brands. Our trained staff will spend time with clients and offer advice and guidance on frame fitting and selection. By fitting a large range of contact lenses, iBuntu Opticians will provide you with the best lens option for you eyes, lifestyle and budget.

Ibuntu Opticians(A1/D1) occupies the ground Floor of 66 Lemon Street which has previously operated as offices (B1). The premises is situated on the north west side of Lemon Street on a slight slope. Lemon street is mainly commercial in occupancy with varied business interests ranging from beauticians, estate agents, banks, opticians, architects and restaurants.

We have been using iBunto Opticians for a year now for both our daughters eye tests. The Optometrist Sandhya is so thorough and so friendly.
We have been so impressed that we wouldn’t dream of going to another Opticians.
My daughter needed a pair of sports glasses for an upcoming competition, which iBunto ordered from bollé. It was very short notice and we didn’t think that they would arrive in time. However, Holly and Georgie kindly chased them daily for us, to make sure that they arrived in time. They kept me fully updated, which I really appreciated. They even stayed after closing hours

Excellent service from both Sandhya and Holly. They were both very welcoming and the eye test was thorough and in depth. Sandhya explained everything perfectly and clearly so I understood what was happening throughout :) I also like that they are a local business and the costs are very reasonable too! Thank you.

Her expertise is of the highest standard and I felt very confident in her diagnosis in dealing with my incipient cataracts. A very warm welcome to myself and 3 teens in tow, followed by comprehensive and informative tests, with clear communication on the options available to us. The service then and the follow up received was commendable. As relative newbies to the area (and following visits to some other local providers), we will not be attending elsewhere for our optical needs!
