We provide both NHS and private eye care in a relaxed and welcoming setting. Services
Our appointment times are a minimum of 30 minutes, as we like to give our patients the time to talk to our optometrists and to fully discuss the results of their sight test. Our comprehensive eye examinations include retinal photography, visual fields screening and internal eye pressure readings if required.

Being an independent practice we are able to provide you with the best lens for your prescription and requirements.
There is a huge range of contact lenses available these days and almost everyone can wear them! Even if you have found contact lenses unsuccessful in the past we often find you just need a little more time and effort. We offer contact lens checks and supply lenses on a 'pay as you go' system, or a direct debit scheme on our Eyeplan Contacts.
Although most children have excellent sight, for those who don't, it's important that we pick it up early. Your child won't always tell you if there's a problem so it's important to get their vision checked, even if you don't have any concerns. Lots of people are under the impression their youngster can't have their eyes tested until they're able to read; this is a myth!
At Raison Opticians we offer the latest in eye scanning. The Optical Coherence Tomographer (OCT), photographs and scans the back of the eye, detecting small changes, through the layers of the retina - this allows us to spot abnormalities up to 5 years before a traditional test. The OCT examination is completely non-invasive and painless.

I initially became impressed with the exceptional customer service at this optician when I was working there as an interpreter. So impressed that I booked myself in for an appointment and wow - a huge leap in service and expertise compared to my previous optician. I was delighted with the care and consideration given to the prescription which would meet my needs, and now I could not be happier with how much better my vision is.
I subsequently brought my mother to the practise. She has a complex congenital eye condition and came away from the appointment saying that in over 70 years of visiting
