Our clinical director, Tim Bradbury, is a Royal College Advanced Practioner in Veterinary Cardiology. He takes cardiology referrals from several local practices. The surgery is approved for the training of veterinary nurses and so far has seen 4 trainees successfully qualify.

We also regularly have school pupils doing their work-experience with us, several of whom have done regular work-experience over a long period with a view to training to be vets.We feel that providing this sort of opportunity is an important part of a veterinary practice's role in the community and a way we can help future members of the profession in the same way we have been helped in the past.
Services
We believe that nutrition is an important part of keeping pets healthy and can also play a vital part in the treatment of some illnesses. This is why we stock a select range of cat and dog pet food in practice, helping to take the faff out of pet food for our clients by recommending diets that have been scientifically created to provide optimal nutrition, which tastes great!
We've partnered with Video Vets Now so you can speak to a vet from home or out and about - 7 days a week between 8am and 11pm. Consults are 10 mins and cost 24. If your pet needs to be seen by us or Vets Now, your original 24 payment will be refunded. We partnered with Video Vets Now to help you get the advice and reassurance you need, wherever you are.

They are fab. Both with previous dog and current pup. I turned up without an appointment following emergency vet advice. Took chance there maybe a slot and I was lucky and in within 20 mins. They dont take the pee on what needs to be done. Defo animal not money focused. Gonna miss Tim when he retires ...

Recently took my dog to the clinic as he had a nasty wound on his leg which was made worse by him chewing at it. Gutted that Tim wasn't available as we have utmost confidence in him. We were seen by younger vet who sorted our dog no problem and reassured us it was just a superficial wound and gave us some antibiotics. The girls on the desk are lovely

Tim and every member of staff at Tyne Vets are without doubt the most caring and compassionate people ever. The care they gave to our beloved Polo for 14years and who we so sadly lost last week was second to none and we can't thank them enough for the way they so wonderfully dealt with our goodbye to Polo. Our other dog Wyspa, for all would rather not visit the vets, I know will be looked after just as well. A big thank you to you all!!
